That would be awesome if someone we "know" were to be on Survivor! Good luck with the application process.

Too funny Jen. I've sent in an application to Wipeout for the past 5 seasons. They never call me.

My nearly 8 year old and I love watching Wipeout together.... What does it say that i have the same sense of humor as an 8 year old.

Off to teh gym for my lunch run.

They are accepting applications right now.....go for it!

We watch Amazing Race, too, but it's definitely not for me.  Couldn't jump off a building or anything like that.  I'd pee my pants (seriously...LOL).

Peeing pants on TV might just be what they are looking for

I'm convinced that me and my 18 year old brother would make a good team.  Me and Shaun, not so much.

Morning, friends

Got in a decent run this morning.  May hit the gym for a short swim tonight...we'll see.  Anyway, I had a nice weekend.  We went to Patterson Farm to pick apples yesterday.  I love it when the kids get to see where food comes from.  Ended up buying 25 lbs. worth.  Sooo cheap doing it that way!

Just thought I'd share something silly.  I don't know if any of you watch the show SURVIVOR.  I've been a huge fan since it started.  I'm submitting an application to be on it in the next round...totally playing up the triathlete stay-at-home-mom thing (they're always looking for a mom...LOL).  If by some miracle I were to be selected to be on the show, I wouldn't be able to tell all of you, but I would strongly encourage you to watch the show.

We tried to get on Amazing Race - love that show! We thought we had a great angle of two veterinarians and 4 kids, but no....didn't happen!

My college roomates and I wanted to sell a show to MTV where a bunch of drunk college kids wandered around the country in a camper and did stupid stuff.  But, of course we never got organized.  2 years later we saw road rules.

I was never fun, so being married had no effect on that.

That's funny - my brother & I want to go on amazing race!  He's not 18, but very active and would have no problem with the physical stuff.  I can do the physical, but suck with directions which he's good at.  We would make the perfect team.

My husband Tom, I'd kill him the first day!!!  We tried to kayak once together, it did not go well.  He suggested we get a tandem bike.  "You can pedal your own a$$ up the hill buddy!"

I soooo want to be on the Amazing Race.  I have contemplated several possible pairings.  Cindy and I would not be married by the end so that's out.  My brother is an option since he could handle the physical.  My Dad isn't physical but has been to just about every country I've ever seen on the race so that would be a plus.    Cindy wants on Big Brother.  I wouldn't be able to keep my lies straight long enough to make that show work for me.

1 HR 10 mins on the trainer this morning. I used the Spinervals In the Road Series with the Lake Placid Course. Rode from Lake Placid to Keene to Jay, NY. Next up is Wilmington where apparently all the climbing starts. I now see the draw to that race. So scenic.

There's actually a decent bit of climbing out of Lake Placid until you reach the Keene descendent.  It's then fairly flat along the Ausable River before the climb into Wilmington and then up White Face.

I actually think the climbing out of Lake Placid is more difficult the climb up White Face.  I'm not sure how well spinervals mimics either (or the Keene descent).

I am sure it is no where near doing the actual course and you only make it as hard as you want on the trainer. But it's def great scenery and a change up to make the trainer not so boring. I also bought a Fall scenery ride in Baltimore and going to order the IMAZ course as well. Troy Jacobson can get a little annoying but again, the diff courses make it fun. That descent into Keene looks awesome. He was saying you can get up to 50mph. Thats crazy. He also said the flat ride from Keene to Jay is where many people tend to "blow up" not realizing they have lots of climbing ahead of them once they reach Wilmington.

IMAZ is boring (up for 18 miles at low grade, down for 18 miles at low grade, repeat -- almost as boring as Florida)).  I would get IMKY or IMWI before getting IMAZ.

In light of Shaun's pictures, is anyone dressing up for Halloween?  I haven't dresed up since law school and law school Halloween parties led to enough debacles to scar me for life.
