Some "combative award" podium girls...

Well worth some combativeness I'd say.

If he can get a Polka Dot SRM you'd think he could get some shorts as well.

Maybe it's just comfort.  What type of shorts to they wear anyway?  I've seen some castelli garb on the Cervelo guys, what do the majority wear?

Maybe you need to win the most combative award and then rip it off the girl at the podium... YEAH!!!

I'm here. Have been watching at Mum & Dads. Got a request to take Dad to Drs. as it looks like he may have popped a cartlidge in his knee. He got referred to xray, got there, form not completed properly. Drive back to Drs. Back to xray. I went to watch a bit of today's stage. Phone call, pick us up. Then had to take them down to pick up some crutches. Finally got back to watch a fair bit of the first climb.

Whilst I was there Dad had his France road atlas out. That last downhill section today has some real nasty switchbacks by the look of it. Don't fancy the Schlecks going fast with those around. Type Bourg st Maurice into google maps & you'll see what I mean.

Morning everyone.  I slept late this morning and then had to try to find internet access at my parents' house.  Seems to be working now.

Those podium cermonies are weird:

I guess the St. Bernard is apropriate for today's stage. But is it Petit or Grand?

Did he keep that Saint Bernard? I bet he didn't.  My wife had a good point "do you think he'll have to drag that dog along the rest of the race?"  I think it's only right...

Does the dog weigh more than him,, Him and one of the ladies,,, All three together,,,, it's like a guess the weight game at the fair

Thanks. Down a few steps from garden to patio. I hope he heals quick too, otherwise I've got to cut his lawn.

That dog definitely weighs more than Bertie.  The average weight of a St Bernard is between 180 and 220 lbs. Record is 336lbs (152 kg). So maybe double Bertie.  I thought that when I saw it.  "He just got the yellow jersey and he's gonna get his arm removed from the socket by that dog."

All their heads are moving around so you can tell they're pushing hard.  when you're using the weight of your head, you know you're working too hard.
