Hi, Sorry I'm late!!!

I did get 58 miles in on Saturday--part of a half-iron.

(yes, 58, not 56 . . . they wanted to make it extra fun . . . )

Thanks for letting me join in, this will be a blast. . .

Hey Team,

I'm Matt from Bettendorf, Iowa. I'm excited to get to work on the bike after a long absence due to college cross country and track.  I put forth a 1:30 ride yesterday, which puts me in good position early (Much like our team in the true tour). Can't wait to get to work with the rest of you folks.  Best of Luck.

Matt

Okay Stage 1 for Bripod is done as well - made my wife mad in the process. She went out for a 3 mile run today right after work when the storm clouds were rolling in. Of course it was pouring rain by the time she got done and I tried to get her to get into the car but she wouldn't. Whenever there's rain, there's lightning around these parts so I didn't want her to get struck! I, on the other hand, planned on eating dinner and then working out. Was hoping the rain would quit [it did... sort of] so I could ride, otherwise I was going to hit the pool. Ended up getting in a really good ride! 35.26 mi out of 250, 1 stage out of 11.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention - the only other challenge I have done I was on the winning team so I'm hoping for a repeat! It was the December Swim challenge [and I loves me some swimming!]

As usual, Very well said Spokes. We should all know that family is the most important thing! I hope you enjoy the short time you get to spend with them. If the pictures are any sign than I'm sure you do!

And sir, we all know you can ride a mean bike!

No doubt. The "challenge" for you is to spend as much time with your kids as you can while you can. This whole TdF thing is just to make sure you don't completely neglect your bike

Rocked an hour last night and 1:30 this afternoon.  3/15 stages 240/1000, I may have given myself a little too much cushion in the minutes, but we'll see.  Hope everyone is kickin' butt on their bikes.  Anybody else name their bikes? Road Bike= Fetcher and Fixie=Alicia.

How did we do today, team? I got a nice swim in as prep for my races later this month. I've been alternating swim and bike days for over a week now, not running due to my Plantar Fasciitis. Hoping to get another ride in tomorrow, though I probably have a full day's work and we're having friends over in the eve, so that might not happen.

Ride on, friends!

Challenge complete! (for me). 5 stages, 58.33 miles. I'll keep adding in stages and miles for the rest of the challenge, though, in the past, Cat has allowed teams with injured riders to use 'extra' mileage to make up for the lost rider.

Nice work!

I'm curious.... what exactly is going on in your avatar. It looks kind of like you're doing the air b00b grab with a dress on. INTERESTING!

You've all been working hard. Why not take the day off and have a delicious burrito?

Did everyone do okay today? I got in an hour on the trainer, boo and a 35 minute run.  I qualified for this thing called the Brady Street Sprint that is part of the Davenport Bix 7 Road Race, so I've been doing a ton of hill work.  Hopefully all this bike will help the cause.

I was hoping to get a ride in but wasn't counting on it and it didn't happen. I'll have to ride tomorrow, even if my wife kills me!

Hi everyone!

I live and bike in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota, and will ride 10 stages for 300 minutes. So far, I don't have any rides in, since I was on vacation after the 4th. But I expect to commute by bike a few times which will help me catch up a bit.

Glad to be on such a great team. Allez, Alejandro!

Just updated my log with stages 4, 5 & 6.

Going strong.

So far, 28.5% of stage goal reached and 29% of volume goal. Things are on pace for me.

Go team!!

I will be updating my data in the Google spreadsheet later today or tomorrow.
