If you are the most comfortable on a mountain bike then that will be the most enjoyable and will get you training more.
I've been getting some decent mileage in the last few years. Nothing major. Just got a tri bike two weeks ago. Have done quite a few trainer rides before i took it on the road. It felt like I didn't know how to ride a bike. I couldn't hold a good line for the first 30-40 min. But after that it got way better.
It's a learning curve, but it's not so steep that it will keep you from riding.
Find the bike that's the most comfortable then go from there. I'd bet that those at the pointy end give up some comfort for performance. |
