When i'ts all of you or us in the road hey that's okay we have RIGHTS but when your in your in your cars man these people should ride or run somewhere else???? don't get it???? I don't look at it that way. I try to ride legally on the right side of the road, with a helmet, lights on like Christmas time and wear light clothing or a headlamp if running in the dark. It is dangerous enough out there with all that on, couldn't imagine doing it without any lights and just tempting fate. I feel like I am doing that just by commuting most days. It is called common sense. We have rights, but guess what that car weighs a couple tons more than I do and all the rights in the world don't heal my bones up if I get hit for doing something stupid!

It's that time of year when it starts getting dark earlier. Lots of people are still biking to work/school, which is a good thing ... I still do. What is not a good thing is that many cyclists ... too many ... ride with dark clothing, no helmets, no lights, and all the while, ignoring the rules of the road. |

Champion 6931  Bellingham, Washington | Subject: RE: People are stupid! About 2 or 3 times a week on my drive into work I pass a guy out running. He is running on a 4 land road that is nearly bumper-to-bumper at 60 mph in all lanes. There is no shoulder at all on this road so traffic has to go around him. He is a hazard to himself and he is a hazard to people trying to go around him. What a maroon. Doesn't he know he's inhaling all the exhaust fumes. |
