Whatever you do please do not wear a white shirt/bra with bandaids applied to your nipples in an attempt to mask them from public view. The event hadn't even begun and the bandaids were already visible! I saw this at one of my recent races and it looked much more rediculous than show-through-nipples could possibly manage.

I wont do it again.

Not all nipples look alike; some are much more prominent or darker than others. The white bra/white shirt combo is probably the worst for minimizing 'show-through'. A nude (beige) bra is far better, almost perfectly eliminating show-through. Contouring is another matter.

Bingo! The nude coloured bra is your best bet.

May not have been "an attempt to mask them from public view," but rather an attempt to protect them from abrasions. I do this in marathons, beats the bleeding nipple by a wide margin, know other guys and girls who do it for shorter races as well. Might not be as "rediculous" as it looked to the unknowledgeable observer.

Superman couldn't see mine....I have to wear a regular bra, a sports bra (Frog bra-the least bouncy bra known to woman) with a tri-top over it that has a built in shelf bra. I've been lugging these guys around for years. All this just to run without bounce. Not bragging, would gladly trade in a heartbeat to not have to triple-bra.

After the swim, my issue is more one of "contour invisibility."
