This may be a good one for you.

Munchausen by proxy is the ones where people hurt their kids and then "save" them.

It helps you find out why some kids keep on mysteriously getting sick. It just happens.

you do not kid, you crazy cat.

What about Munchausen and Munchausen by proxy? It's one I really do not get....

from wikipedia: (not reliable for academic study, but a good place to go for starters.)

Munchausen syndrome is a psychiatric disorder in which those affected fake disease, illness, or psychological trauma in order to draw attention or sympathy to themselves. It is in a class of disorders known as factitious disorders which involve "illnesses" whose symptoms are either self-induced or falsified by the patient. It is also sometimes known as hospital addiction syndrome

Hey Sweet Pea,

I would tell you to figure out what kind of crazy I am but I don't really want to know.   So I got nothing.  If come up with a nice version of obsessive compulsive that would be me.

Most often Munchausen by proxy is about attention seeking. They aren't going to save the kid - in bad cases they will actually kill the kid intentionally. The person is looking for sympathy from others, or some other type of attention to fill an emotional gap. Most of these people are feigning impotence in the face of some "tragedy" out of their control - a "tragedy" they themselves are intentionally creating.

Want a topic that is very timely and will have tons of resources online? Try Asperger's Syndrome.

I have an uncle who is clinically narcissistic. It's very interesting (from a distance) because he truly believes that the world should revolve around him and anything he wants belongs to him. 'Course it makes him a crappy Dad and exHusband, and the law doesn't always agree with his view.

Wow. It is a real statement when someone is too narcissistic to be a good EXhusband.
