I am going to start swimming in Cultus shortly. (Sans suit)

Just kidding. Wetsuit required! I might want to have kids again.

10 degrees is being generous. I'd be willing to bet that it is even colder than that.

Sasamat is fine without a wetsuit in July/August. Don't forget that Sasamat is much smaller than Buntzen. And I think Sasamat also gets heated by the Hydro runoff.

But isn't Buntzen the one with the Hydro plant.... also the tri isn't until September... thus the whole summer to warm up...

Has anyone ever heard of the 5 peaks?

5 Peaks.
The trail runs around the Lower Mainland?
If so Yes.
Also there is a mud run in ALdergrove in March I believe.

Well the runoff goes into Sasamat I guess. Trust me, Butzen is 'frikin cold. If you do the tri, I'll come watch.

Wait, I will be there to cheer Leah on. Leah's tough.

Ohh I see how it is Jen, come cheer for Leah but not for me... that hurts.... sniff sniff...

You are moving, where to?

By the way I found out about the relay thing for that tri... if 2 people do it then one person does one event while the other does the other 2, if 3 ppl do it then they each do an event, so I think that I will do it alone... (yikes that is scary) Still don't know if I am doing the half or the full....

Leah, which one are you doing?

Hey Paco. You never said that you were doing it. If you are, of course I'll cheer for you too. I have an idea, when we all meet up to swim in Sasamat, you and Leah, can swim a lap of Buntzen. heehee

You are moving, where to?

I moved from N. Delta to downtown - Burrard & Robson.

Leah, which one are you doing?

See above. Leah is hardcore. She'll be doing the full.

Hope to meet up with you soon Paco.

Jen

Leah...

I would totally love to do the bike course with you... I think we should do it when it is muddy and dirty... that is the best... Have you ever riden up to the top of the Coquitlam River.... it is where the falls are at the top of Shaughnessy. It is awesome....

Anytime you guys want to go for a ride lets do it.

Hey Leah,

I did read that you were doing the half. I don't know why I later thought that you were doing the full. Either way, I'll be there to cheer you on.

Oh and can you please put some veggie burgers on the bbq. Thanks.

I just started doing trail riding last year after my bike course... then i hurt my back so i out for the rest of the summer, but I would love to go up to SFU and Burke, so anytime you want to go ride I am game... however... I would have to go slow and get my pedal feet... haha before going full throttle... but what do you mean the coquitlam river is a murder? to bumpy?

too bumpy....teehee.  Naw, it's way too muddy.  The crap gets caught in the rear links of the suspension and chews away at it.  Hard on rim brakes too (not an issue if you have discs).  Good trail for beginners cuz not alot of elevation and lots of roots etc for practice, but SFU is WAY better.  When we get more light in the evenings we'll have to organize a low-key ride there.

Totally in for SFU
