Tonight was just an hour bike, but the soreness in my arms I remember distinctly from P90X. Oh yeah, I use bands and they snapped last night and that HURTS>

did the chest and back today.... I'm not sore yet but I also didn't push as hard as I could have since this was the first time and watched my form. 2 days down, 88 days to go.

I'm not doing the full program as I can't fit it in with my regular tri training, but I will be using the videos as supplementary strength training through the winter.  I should be good for three peaches a week, although the yoga session will be a live yoga class rather than the Yoga X.

Yes, that's my plan too- supplementing half-marathon (April) and tri (June) training with 3 days of the "X"-- but do you have any rhyme or reason as to which DVDs you will use in your supplementing? I was thinking maybe plyo, core and yoga-- but would be interested in hearing your thoughts, herridge, or anyone else's......

 

So far I sticking to the Core Synergistics, Abs, Legs and Back, and possibly the Plyometrics workouts.  I am trying to strengthen my core and work on the legs due to some recurring injury problems.

Day 2 of 3 for Week One, in the bag. ALMOST did not get up to work out.  One child has a 30 minute sleep in for school this am, which gave me 30 extra...I had already slept it away and had left myself enough exactly enough time to do a p90x video.....almost talked myself out of it, thinking I can run after work while the other child is at skating at 5:30, and that there are 3 more days in the week to do the X twice... BUT DID IT. I am really glad. Something always comes up late in the day once I am not the only one awake anymore.....this is my time, and I need to use it. If I run now, it will be a bonus!

ROCK ON, Xers!

I did Core Synergistics again. It made me so deliciously sore after Sunday, I wanted to feel that again.

Did legs and back yesterday and the first half of Shoulders and Arms today. I will finish Shoulders and arms and do ab ripper tonight. Oh and my chest is still sore from Tuesday...

PS I did fit in a 3 mile run last night....and I'm wondering if that's why I'm not quite as sore from round 2 of Core Synergistics that I did yesterday morning. Which is not to say that I'm exactly pain free....I think Saturday I will do legs and back! And then x-c ski or snowshoe.

I'm in week 12 and just wanted to come in and wish everybody luck in P90X.  I won't be doing another round (OLY training) but I will be using the DVDs twice a week to maintain strength.  Just to offer some encouragement, I couldn't do 5 chin ups and I managed about 20 pushups in the beginning.  Now I can do 25 chin ups unassissted and 78 pushups.

If P90X is something you enjoy after a while, I would recommend a pull up station (sometimes called a 'power tower') and a set of adjustable dumbbells.  I gave away a multigym and I'll never set foot in a gym again.

I did all seven days of the first week, and started week two today. So far I've been able to also squeeze in some S/B/R work, but it's definitely been tough.

Yoga was tough - figured out I was doing like 3 poses wrong - now that I figured them out I am definitely feeling the burn.

I am on Phase 3 week 2 and loving it.  Have seen some crazy results (not as extreme as some but still really happy).  Once it is done I am going to rest for a week and the restart the program with tri-training mixed in.  Definitely dropping Kenpo x as it is my least favorite by far.

Just finished week 3. I've done every thing that was scheduled, except the optional stretching video on Saturdays. I've followed the nutrition plan quite closely as well.  I've still managed to get in a few S/B/R sessions, but it's been tough balancing it all.

I saw some big changes on the scale in the first two weeks (down about six pounds at the end of week two), but have been up a few pounds this week and holding steady.  I'm not sure what that's all about, but I'm not all that concerned. I'm not really looking to lose much weight (I'm 6' tall and about 173 right now), I'm just trying to get rid of some fat.
