You race.  Unless the weather is dangerous we'll be racing.

You look on the bright side - you'll already be wet from the swim (unless you're a duathlete).

Sounds good to me, don't mind alittle rain. I just heard of races closing certain portions of the race due to conditions.

GoFaster said that the water temperature was in the low 70s.  That doesn't sound too bad to me, even though I am terrible at Fahrenheit. 

Only stuck my hand in the water for a moment today, but it certainly feels cooler than a week ago - but not too cold (it was only my hand).  However my hand did get a bit cool/cold standing there with it wet afterwards.  I don't usually wear gloves when racing but may consider it tomorrow.  I may also tape the front of my shoes or put toe covers over them.

As for the course, I rode up 6th line just a bit and since the wind is coming out of the West most of the ride should be protected with all the trees.  That assumes that the wind doesn't change direction by tomorrow.

Thank you for the update, what did they wear swimming, feet covered? Wetsuit? Cap? Neoprene hat?

For those worried about the lake and water temps for tomorrow I wouldn't be.  There was a bit of a visible current at the lake today, but no chop or anything that should be worrisome.

Some rain here this evening, and the wind picked up again a bit.  Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a great event!  I loved it!  The swim was great (even without a wetsuit - lol), the bike was hard and the run reminded me of being a kid in cross country days.

Can't wait til next year to try it again!!!!

I only noticed one guy attempting a repair. I have been caught with under-inflated tires combined with a pothole leading to flat(s). I thought the bike course was pretty clean, only a few road hazards to avoid. (One notably on the long downhill).

Overall I thought it was a good race as well, the water temperature not being a factor after the initial shock. I too noticed the chop after the final turn. Only a sprinkling of rain on the north end of the bike ride, and the sun showed up a few times.
