I say you buy the office a pet.  Maybe a big *** bird that talks.  This will IMMEDIATELY lead to boredom alleviation.

 - Spend the next three days teaching it to say choice phrases, so they'll remember you after you've left.  Like "Whoa, Eunice.  Are you going to bust a move?", and "You're giant and eating AGAIN?"

- Spend the next 3 days talking baby talk to it, to ensure it knows it's cared for.

- Enjoy the pleausre that is assigning cage-cleaning duties, and wadding up bottom-of-the-cage newspaper and putting it in random trash cans that you know aren't emptied often

- Name it after a co-worker, but with a "Jr." on the end.

- And if it gets lonely, get it a ferret as a friend.  With a case of glade plug-ins to cover it up.

Call up some random number 3 times in a row asking for Eunice.  Then call back 10 minutes later and say "This is Eunice...have there been any calls for me?"

Call the 7-11 and ask if they have Dr. Pepper in the can.  When they say "yes" tell them to "let him out!"

Call the weatherman 10 times in an hour and ask for updates.

Call the bar room and for Ivana Tinkle

Rick and Max those are hilarious!!

Ok, so I called a BTer earlier, talked to my mom and dad. I don't want my coworkers knowing all my business so I'm not calling anyone anymore. I miss my office.

I've popped rubber bands at people walking by. This is sad. I think I would actually do work if they gave me something to do.

Lee? Where are you? I thought you wanted to waste time too?...

Find all the random office supplies you can find and put them in your bag.  Take a nap.  Write a book/read a book.

Is that what they're calling it these days?

That's fine and all, but how many times can you do that in a day before someone starts getting suspicious about all the time your spending in the restroom?

Wouldn't it just be easier to let you go and pay you for the rest of the week? Seriously.

Yes and they should have said "Thanks for the month's notice but we'll only need you for 2 weeks."

I have better things I could be doing.

oneword - 2006-03-07 2:05 PM In a sort of twisted way, its like they're punishing you for quitting if you have nothing to do but you have to be there to collect the paycheck. Just my $0.02.

Punishment would be taking away my internet. If that happens I would just leave.

So I'm breezing through this quickly and at first I think, wow, how bored do you have to be to be listening to the sounds from a plant on your desk.  And what kind of plant is it anyway?  Like the one in Little Shop of Horrors?

I get it now.  Second male ditz moment of the day.  Duh.
