Sounds like fun but we won't be able to make it.  I'll be flying and doing my bike/run in Sedona this weekend. . . This heat is getting to me.

DEAN!!!!  I have actually been a little worried about you two!!  We somehow never saw you again after loop 1, and I was hoping everything was ok!

Bummer you will miss this weekend, but sounds like you have lots of other fun planned!

I can make some brownies that make you feel like you ran and biked and even flew and never leave your chair.

Sorry about skipping the 2nd loop.  Kim wasn't feeling well and thought better of doing more.  We'll see you on the next outing.

Just posting an answer to my own question that others might be interested in.

I called Lake pleasant's management office and they say the lake is 85 degrees.

Not technically wetsuit legal but I am still bringing mine with hopes that it will be bareble.

And my wife claims she wants to came play as well.

The arse crack of stupid, how did you know what we call Robin. LOL J/K bro. I don't mind. I have learned that this sport is worse then being a teacher when it comes to getting up early.

I know!!! Jerry is choosing to go to the strip club Friday night over training with us Sat morning!! Can you believe that?  Phffffft!!

So Brian, I know you are not big on the whole socialize and eat after training thing.....(although I would love it if you did)!......but I need to know from everyone else are we all going to just go out to eat afterward? Or are we all going to bring some grub and have a little picnic there at the lake???  I opt for the picnic, but that requires everyone joining in and bringing something.  So shout out so I know if I need to bring something, or if I need to start searching for a restaurant.

I'm probably going to have to head out shortly after we're done, but if you go south on Lake Pleasant Road, there is a Chili's and a Pollo Loco at Deer Valley Rd.  There also is a bar and grill being built that may or may not be open yet (Jerry - do you know?).  I'm not sure what the options would be at the 74 and I-17 interchange, but you guys could glance around on your way in.  Not a whole lot of dining options in that area that I'm aware of.  I will bring some bagels and doughuts for everyone as a contribution for either before or after.  (Leave it to me to supply the simple carbs!

So what does that have to do with training on Saturday??  If he's at the strip club late, he can bring a new friend (as we know, all are welcome).  Get her a bike and a wetsuit and ESKCTC has a new member! Or....she could be our wetsuit stripper after the OWS!

There is a nice Paradise bakery on Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley. Other options that are currently open include but are not limited to: Chili's, Chipolte, Duners Pizza, Pollo Loco, Lakeside bar and Grill, Baskin Robins, Subway, Pizza Hut Express, McDonalds, Starbucks, Rubios, and Peta Grill all at the same intersection.

I vote paradise bakery after, rather than bringing food from my house just north of tucson.

But I do like the sound of people bringing doughnuts and strippers to get us started.

Sounds like Jerry is commiting to bring Strippes to assist with the swim and Bike, and after he can show us where these eating places are at.  After all strippers have to eat too.

Thanks Jerry, way to think about the needs of the greater group.

It looks as if I will be there (sans Strippers).  However, I will most likely have to miss the late bk-fast - will consume any donuts that are brought as show-up prizes, however.

BTW - I_ESCKTC, I just live in the northwest metro area!

Financeman - the bike loop is 20 miles total, and you will be back in the parking lot where you started.  I think some people are doing two loops, so you would have the option of doing a 20 or 40 mile ride.  Hope you'll come out and join us!

Sorry Financeman 9-7 is too long a ride for me. Thats more hours than I work in a day. I'm a Banker, and everyone knows that Bankers don't work hard or often.
