I know what you mean. Amy and I eloped to San Diego and got married on the beach. Open bars are good no matter what the circumstances. I'd probably like funerals if I could get a free beer out of it.

TriComet - 2005-11-01 1:44 PMNo, not bitter. I'm just not a huge fan of weddings. Notice I didn't have a real one myself? Open bar makes them bearable, and I always have a great time!

TriComet - 2005-11-01 1:40 PM Me too runnergirl. Its the only way to ease the pain...
I thought you were talking about the pain of having your feet steped on by a bunch of drunks trying to do the electric slide (boogie-oogie-oogie-oggie)

I had worn the most uncomfortable shoes in the world at the last wedding  Very classy shoes- but painful.  After having a few adult beverages, the pain was numbed and I didn't even think about ditching the heels.  Although the next day it hurt to walk even barefoot!  That's what's happens when you're the "Dancing Queen"!

You all can keep your silly electric slide. Frankly it lacks grace, emnotion and any physical ability whatsoever. That is why I am a county-line dance efficianado. Nothing compares.

Nothing.

My next wedding is going to be on a beach with a bar closeby.

My families funerals are fun! Celebrate life the coon *** way.

The electric slide is way to difficult to remember at the end of a wedding reception. Thats why We always pressure whoever is there to play "The Chicken Dance"
Easy to remember and fun to watch.

Or, failing the country line dancing, mustang sally always pumps me up. I love how so many 50 years old couples just love to get lost in the haunting rythems and suductive swaying of slowing their mustang down. So gracefull....

It's not hard to remember- you don't even need to think about it.  You're body just knows all the moves and you don't have to do anything!  The "Chicken Dance" is gay!

Maybe my legs aren't trunkish enough to have the muscle memory for the Electric Slide.
And the Chicken Dance as Hetrosexual as they come, it's German for petes sake.

WHAT???
The hokey pokey is a game for children. The chicken dance is pagan dance of love.

Hey! You can't do the electric slide at a baseball game, but you can do the chicken dance and the YMCA!
And the hokey pokey----that's what it's all about (ha! couldn't resist!)

All three of those cause involuntary dancing. Admit it! The other day while lifting, the electric slide came on the XM station the club is set to. I found it hard to resist doing it. But, another couple who were also lifting just broke out in to. The faces on the people at the desk and in the hallway were priceless!
