I have a worldly friend who answered the question, "What's the difference between French girls and American girls?" with the answer, "Better underwear."  He would know.

Oh, I was way off, I would've guessed armpit hair.

Wow. Thanks for the input.

The Warden...err...my wife loves cashmere, so I'm not worried about it from a materials standpoint.

Thanks TriComet, I will buy some matching tops.

La Perla is fantastic, but I can buy that at Nordstrom.

Thanks all!

This one is too easy. When buying clothes for women (shirt, pants, undies, doesn't matter) ALWAYS buy one or two sizes too small. This accomplishes two things:
1. She's flattered that you think she looks like a size X even though she's a size Y; and
2. It also gives her the occasion to go shopping since she has to go to the store to exchange what you got for the right size.

There is exactly a 0% chance of that happening! For $80, I'll buy myself a nice bottle of wine.

Well there's always Ravage which is very hard to come by in the states... there's this little boutique in the Gare du Nord district, couple blocks from the train station (on the same street, just to the right of it)...

What? About absinthe? It's a supposedly hallucinogenic liquor, made from wormwood, that's illegal in the states.
