Where did you see this? On your grandmother? Apparently I'm not up to date with the fashion trends, especially underwear. Commano since '98.

There are some versions of it that are better than others:

But really, is there anything she wouldn't look good in?

The full impact of this horrific trend can be seen when directly compared to a lower cut version:

Gentlemen, you're welcome.

Is that the same girl? She looks really PO'd in the low waist-ed one. I happen to like the first one...

I don't think it's the same girl.  I could never wear something shaped like the bottom's in picture one because I can't STAND having pants sit on top of my belly button like that.  It's just not even comfortable.  Especially with a navel piercing.

I guess my sample size of women that I get to see in their underwear is small (n=1), but she doesn't own any granny panties. And the last time I looked through a VS catalog, I remember seening very few briefs or what could be called granny panties, so I don't see how the GP's are a fad or fashion at this time.

Same. Same. Same.

I don't like having high stuff on my belly--ever.  I really hate it racing.

What's next, Victorian era hoop skirts making a comeback!?

Oh man, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.  I HATE majority of the "trends" in today's fashion.  Like the 80's comeback.  Lived it once...no thanks!

Sorry but skinny jeans don't look good on ANYONE.  If you have any curves they make your thighs look thunderous.  If you have skinny legs they make you look like a 12 year old boy.

And this trend with baggy, baggy T-shirts.  Most of us around here work pretty hard to have a nice looking waist.  I don't want to cover it up with a shirt that's twice as wide as my body.

Woah, woah, woah ... now you've gone too far.

Now, I probably look more like a boy than thunderous, and that's fine. But they are really the only kind of pants that fit these chicken legs.

Fine. I agree with noelle, but will restate so as not to offend:  "The percentage of people in the world who look good in skinny jeans is smaller than the percentage of people who were actually AT the original Woodstock.   They're out there, but they're rare."

I think *a few* of the high-waisted clothes look good - primarily the pencil skirts. But slacks of any kind. swim suits and dunders just look frumpy to me

Ugh.  those pencil skirts, and the 2-color dresses with the high waist(I don't know what they're called) are all over Beijing and I hate them.

The only hard-and-fast fashion rule in Beijing, however is:   The length of your skirt MUST be shorter than the height of your heels.    I kid you not.  There is no middle-ground between flats and 4 inch heels here.   And lots of the girls wear platform heels, which end up having about a 5 or 6 inch heel on them.  I don't really see how they manage... but I've NEVER seen a girl trip and fall.

And I'm here to tell you that vegas pulled one of the tame versions of these to link to.

If you're gonna bust one of these out as a joke, might I recommend these in perhaps the orange, or for the slightly more adventurous, these.

My expectations for the quality of this years’ Triathlon world championship were fulfilled. This was because of the superb location that is like no other along with having the top triathletes present.
