Yep - feel it already! Did my two sets yesterday and one today. I'll have to try that side crunch...

As a bonus, I introduced a slightly modified version of this to my workgroup at the office and now three non-BTers are doing it too.

Good eve all,

I got my first 2 workouts of the 8 (2x 4 days) for the week done. So far so good. It helps knowing that I will be accountable to you here on the Challenge.  Cuase I thought about not doing them this morning but did them in my PJ's with Freya lookin' at me like I was crazy. And maybe I am

Me too, second day. No results yet. Except the slightly uncomfortable ones. Did I not check the "Immediate Results" box?

I completed my 4th round of the workout of this challenge tonight. For the first time, I did it independently of any other training. The workout did give me time to consider what I was having for dinner and I opted for chicken noodle soup over a grilled cheese.

I'm doing better with the workouts than the diet bit. There are 2 more days of Christmas to celebrate after all.

You might want to mix-up the exercises a little. You don't want to get too used to doing the same exercises with the same reps in the same order. I did mine backwards tonight and added in two turkish get-ups. Those things kill. I jumped in on the second workout to knock out a little sweet tooth craving. It worked! All I wanted when I was done was water!

Good eve all,

I have to report that I have done all my PJ workouts in. That is what my Hubby calls this Challenge becase I usually do them in my PJ's first thing in the morning and last thing in the eve. I can feel the obliques are a little sore so I guess that means I'm doing it correctly. Well everyone have a great night and a good week.

Well my first week is done.  Does anyone else feel the work in the lower back as well as the obliques?  For us guys, back fat is something we have to battle as well as the love handles.  So far I feel tighter in that area.

I hope everyone's enjoying the challenge so far.  I've been enjoying the woodchoppers.  It's a great move.

Welcome back Jeff. I like the concept of a total core workout.

Ok, I have done probably 5 or 6 sets of these since 1/1/08. They are hard and I am afraid of them---I keep thinking one more move is going to bonk my back. I do want to keep on trying to do them.

The side bends and woodchops are OK, its the twisting crunches that scare me. I am dropping them. I will do extra non-twisting crunches to make up.

I had to only do one today. I did a cycle of bench and then went through 5 sets of a rotation of weighted deadlifts alternating with 3 sets of knees-to-elbows and 2 sets of cable woodchoppers. They killed me.

Good news about diet. A guy got promoted and brought a veggie tray instead of the standard fatty fare!

Keep up the good work everybody! Good work Shermbelle!

Just did my first set

I've been sick literally since the 1st, so I'm a bit behind on this workout as well as my normal Triathlon training. It did help with the diet part though. I'm finally feeling better, so watch out.

I'll probably try to do the workout every day until I catch back up.

Good Job everyone

Will knock out the second set before bed tonight.

I did the Filthy Fifty today. It was 10 exercises of 50 reps a piece. 2 of the exercises were knees-to-elbows and back extensions. That was a core smoker!

Hadn't noticed the thread until now, but had been doing Q's LTLH challenge since 080101 after seeing it posted as part of the CrossFit thread. So far, I've missed only 1 set and even managed to limit portion sizes and eat a bit cleaner, even throughout the weekend. To keep it different, I change out the last exercise for variation.
