Hey Team - Hope everyone is doing good. Not sure where the week went.
Got in 2 strength, 1 run and 1 bike. Now off for a 3 day camping weekend. My first holiday weekend that I am not on call or working. YEAH.

I have to admit - can't wait for a cold beverage and some relaxing.

Hope you all have a good one.

Okay team...  I know this is a triathlete forum, but it's college football time!  I have 7 people coming down to stay with me tonight and tomorrow and we are going to the OU football game tomorrow.  I'll try not to party too hard right before my sprint tri on Monday!

Trying to figure out how I'm going to get up in the morning for my bike ride after helping my brother and a cousin celebrate their 40th b-day tonight.

GO TEAM GORLOCKS!

Have fun.  I can hardly wait for Football to start.  Ok I watched Oregon/Boise State last night. I can't believe the punch.  What was he thinking?   My team--Virginia Tech-- plays Bama tomorrow. Should be interesting.

I have four and half hours biking today.  I'm siting watching NICS enjoying my coffee and cereal.  I got to get my butt moving...  I hope everyone is getting out there this weekend and having a great time.  Anyone racing?

Yep, I'm racing in the morning.  My training hasn't been that great lately, but at least I will get some miles/sessions in tomorrow!  :-)

Spent the last two days entertaining family - We were all pumped up for OU football at the new Cowboy Stadium (Jerry World) and left disappointed   Nutrition has been horrible, but tasty (beer, steaks, beer...)

I'm off to get my daughter prepped for her first tri!

Howdy!  I hope all of you guys had an amazing weekend.  I missed a couple of hours working out last week due to travel and the holiday.  I'll try to catch up later.

Does anyone have anything exciting planned this week?  Me?  It is a recovery week--which means the work week will be lighter.  I have a lactic threshold test today--which will be painful.  On Thursday I have a 5K time trial--which will be painful.   I have my first swim race rehearsal on Friday. 4114 yard--which should be fun. I've done this distance during an aquabike earlier this year.   On Saturday I have a 112 mile bike/6 mile run.  This is my first brick rehearsal for my Ironman.   On Sunday I have a 1 mile race in the San Francisco Bay from Angel Island to Tiburon.

Doesn't sound like much of a recovery week does it?  I think I should get my head examined.

It was a tough weekend for both of our teams.  I don't know it sounds like your nutrition was spot on.  How did your daughter do in her TRI?

She had a rough time on the run -- she walked the mile pretty slow   BUT she finished and we were very proud of her!  She rides her bike around the neighborhood a lot and can swim okay, but never wanted to work out beforehand.  Thought she could just "wing" it ... lol    Good news is she said the finish was worth it and now she wants to do another one.. and even said she will train more for the next one!  Anything to keep her physically active in something

I put my race report up finally -- most of it is my whining I think.  I might have been more positive if OU would have won this past weekend!
