Any patient swimmers up for Sandy Point this weekend? (Page 2)

I couldn't make an OWS every weekend, but I could definitely do once or twice a month at Sandy Point. Anyone up for the 13th or 14th?

How about this weekend? Maybe Sunday around 7:00 or 8:00am?

I'm game !  8:00 is better (I have a wedding Sat night )

You don't want to be swimming with alcohol seeping out of your pores? 8:00 is fine for me.

Just noticed this thread.. I'm in (although 8 is awful early!)

I'm a definite maybe for 8 on Sunday... Have to go in to work in the morning, but barring any big surprises I should be able to make it.

I'm in for the swim on Sunday, plus I recruited a non-BTer. Not having been there, I ask, "is finding parking and the swim area self-explanatory?"

Parking is at the end of the road at the beach on the right. There shouldn't be many people there at that time and we will be the only ones with wetsuits. Dr Pete and I met there, changed into our suits and then headed down to the water.

I'll try to make it out...   I've been out there a few times to practice, so I'm somewhat familiar with the Annapolis course that they planned on doing in 2008 before it got canceled.  Can I get someone's number to call if I can't make it or am late?

Great swim today everyone. There were 7 BTers today along with a lot of other triathletes. Who is interested in making this a regular workout?

There was even some talk of arranging our own mini-tri at Sandy Point and then having a cookout afterward. We could make it a family thing.
Any interest?

Thanks to everyone for their patience while I slogged through my first 1-mile OWS.

I'll be out of town next weekend, then I'm racing Dextro Energy on the 21st, so it'll be a while before I'm back for a swim, but I'll keep an eye out in here!

I am definitely interested in making this regular thing

I am new to all of this.  I recently completed my first triathlon and have another one in less than I month.  I discovered that I desperately need to do some OWS.  I am hoping that this can be a weekly event.  Do I just show up ready to swim?  What time and what location?
