Jeans are all about the butt.  If they make your butt look good, then you gotta go with them.

If the ass looks nice, you must pay the price.

Then go right ahead with your skinny self!!!!

btw: I guess I'm a hypocrite b/c I bought some expensive jeans from Neimans. I LOVE them, are definately my skinny jeans, but I use them as my 'dressy' jeans though. Love my ass in them.

I only own one pair of expensive jeans, the rest are Gap.

I once spent $140 on a pair of jeans. I admit it.

They make my ass look f'ing awesome, and I love wearing them. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. We all splurge on something... and sometimes it's jeans.

Go for it. If you want them badly enough as I think you do, you will not regret it. If the money is really worrying you, buy the jeans, then go to the grocery store and get groceries for lunch for the next month, instead of eating out. It'll balence out.

And you ass will look awesome.

Chris Tree - YOur right I spent 3 months and LOTS of time trying to make my a$$ skinny (as well as my belly). $165 would be cheap.

I say if you can afford it and they fit well, go for it. I have learned from women that a pair of jeans that fits well (ie makes her ass look great) is like finding the Holy Grail - no cost is too much!! I've seen a friend drop $200 on jeans (granted they had some seriously badass hand-stiched embroidered hippie flowers all over and were about the coolest jeans ever) and have watched her seriously think about spending twice that much.

Myself, being a guy, I never spent more than $50 on jeans until recently. Then I tried some Luckys and damn if they didn't fit well and were really soft, thin and comfy. So I spent $100. Then I tried on a pair of Sevens, and got those as well - on sale mind you, but still $125.

For a guy I am a total clothes whore.

I echo Rheros' sentiments on this one. Bottom line is - can you afford it? If it's not gonna deviate too much from your financial gameplan then why not? What's the opportunity cost here? For me, I always try to figure out what other things I could buy with that dough first - opera tickets, plane ticket somewhere, shoes, nice dinner in Manhattan, etc. It all boils down to which things or experiences matter to you most.

No, plain and simple.
I don't think you'd really feel good about yourself in them knowing that you paid so much, or worse still, you'd have to say "yeah, I spent waaay too much on these, but doesn't my butt look amazing??" I mean really, how often do you need to see your own butt in jeans. It's silly. Mojo or no, it's just wasteful and vain, but that's just my opinion.

I would never buy jeans that my butt didn't look good in! Of course she's buying them for the vanity! We're all vain creatures, let's not pretend. Personally, I checkout my butt all the time.

Here's to fabulous looking butts in jeans... I encourage all to post their butts in jeans too (don't leave me twisting in the wind here, people).

RENEE!!! I've been trying to take pics on my camera phone of my butt in my jeans, but I'm not happy with them b/c the jeans are too big! (my ass isn't too big, my jeans are too big size wise for you smart asses out there)

Personally I would never pay that much for a pair of jeans, mostly because they never have tall sizes at a store like Nordstroms/Dillards/etc. (don't even get me started on that!)

It's funny to read the responces from everyone telling you not to buy the jeans because of the cost. Lets see a pair of jeans will lasts 5-6 years (or longer) unless very stylish then maybe 2 years. And you will wear the jeans how many times per year? 48+ times per year. Firgure 48 wears per year for only 1 year = $3.43 for the first year only! My registration fee for the Spirit of Racine half ironman was $125 for just less than 6 hours of pain and fun = $20.83 per hour. The jeans are a much better deal...go for it!

If you like them and they fit well then you should get them.

Your not going to believe the before picture.  I'll get cracking on it and put it up in Before and After in the tri forum.  This will be one of the hardest things I have had to do in awhile --I am very vain....
