There's also the ever-popular (and grammatically correct) GFY.

I think the only reasonable response so your scurrilous accusations is:

Poopyhead!

ahh Renee, charming as always.

point is-

ok, so not everyone is a great speller- so what?

within business communications, spelling and grammar errors are inexcusable. it's gotta be right- if you don't know- look it up, spellcheck or ask someone.

in an internet forum- if you get your point across- what's the BFD?

there's a time and place for everything.

p.s. Have a look at the thread title. Have you ever heard of a double entendre?

There she goes again......starting a rock fight.  Renee started this thread, so she can critique anything she likes......if it bothers you stop reading it. Why does it seem I am always defending you?  My therapist would say it's my codependent peace keeper coming out again.  I hate arguing but I sure love good spelling and grammar.

I'm a lover, not a fighter, Dotty Shannon.

And I'm not responsible for malcontents who can't take their cue from a thread title.

You guys are rediculously funny.

I am an admitted grammar freak.  I love it.  Another phrase that bothers me:  reoccurring.

As in, "I sense a reoccurring theme here."

I think the only reasonable response so your scurrilous accusations is:

Poopyhead!

I'll just add, I think it's actually poopy-head. Or, is it poopie-head? Or poopiehead?
It probably shouldn't have been capitalized either. Not sure if a label after a colon needs capitalization. Or, frankly, if that is the appropriate use of a colon.

Scurrilous means brilliant and insightful, right?

If you google "poopyhead" you get plenty of references, including one in which President Bush called Senator Kerry a "poopyhead." Merriam-Webster does not contain either versions. As it is in the popular vernacular, I would assume the hyphen is a regional preference.

The colon followed by exclamation created an exclamatory remark which stood on its own.

Oh, you were all thinking it.  I just deal with it enough on a daily basis to not be afraid to talk about it, touch it, etc.
Example:  About three hours ago at Chucky Cheese....Bennie, age 3 disappears.  My girlfriend (new mom) freaks out thinking he's been kidnapped.  I checked the bathroom.  He had gone poopy by himself (yay) and got it all over himself, his underwear, etc.  Luckily, I have a spare everything in my purse....I would SO win Let's Make a Deal! Anyway, just another poopy/colon day.  Christ I've got to go back to work soon.

Hey, I haven't even started quoting William F. Buckley yet.

Nor have I used the word "pedantic."

Bear gets wiggly over pedantic.
