Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Silence-Lotto Team Thread Completed stage 1 today...interval work. Next stage on Thursday is real time trial just like the boys did today but only 8.1 miles. It is a blast mostly men with 1-3 women all of us on tricked out time trial bikes with cool wheels, some in skin suits and aero helmets in this rural area. Last year one of the neighbors called the cops on us...such rule breakers bike racers. |

Champion 7821 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Silence-Lotto Team Thread Stage 1 was last night, stage 2 is tomorrow. My Dad's in the South of France as we speak. He's not going to see the Tour (closest it comes to where he is is Nimes), but I asked him to find me a Silence-Lotto t-shirt if he can. Kathy--that new 'cross bike looks amazing. You'll have earned it after IMLP, that's for sure! |

I got stage one in on day 1, then a very short stage 2 last night, and probably another short stage tonight then nothing until my race saturday (tapering this week). Weeks 2 and 3 will see a huge increase in volume from me |

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Silence-Lotto Team Thread KathyG - 2008-07-07 4:05 PM Cool tables..I'm so itching to ride..tomorrow I get to Tapering is weird but good. I think I may order a new bike tomorrow..now that will be an awesome day. I want a cyclecross bike and am going to MN after my Ironman and staying on an island with only dirt paths..great cyclecross riding location. Riding my tri bike means trip in a boat to mainland twice and disrupts my family. Looking at getting a Redline Conquest or Salsa Chili Con Crosso I'm going to get my Kuota checked out and talk with the shop price and when I could get either one. The Salsa's geometry is very close to what would be a custom bike would be..so that is what I'm leaning towards. It is made out of scandium which I hear is good as cycle cross bikes get beat up more and carbon isn't a great choice for a newb like me.
I like how you have your priority's in check. I think the salsa looks cooler than the redline.

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Silence-Lotto Team Thread Bike TT and only saw 3 police I did well and for the first time ever ran out of gears on a flat..bit of a tail wind and I was cooking along at 32.5 mph in my 50-12 and needed more. So that makes stage 2 for me and it was an official TT. My power was highest ever by a slight amount, and 1 second off my personal best on this course...I'm always 22:45-22:48 and have been 4x in last year. Police stories today: On way to the TT, I come up behind a women stopped. The road is blocked with signs to go right. I'm like what is she doing. Her windows are tinted so I can't see if front of her and she is talking on the phone. I wait and wait so finally I pull around her into the left lane and lo and behold there was a policeman directing traffic and there was only one lane. I was embarrassed and apologized with the women who was yelling at me. Then when our turn to go the cop motioned me to pull over and he scolded me. Two cops went by us with sirens on during the TT but they didn't hassle us this week. |

How do I get those cool team listing tables with the links into my log? All you need to do is highlight the table below (this one was updated w/ doctorbob's log link), then go into your control panel in your log and go to the goal section and paste it right in there. Easy.

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: Silence-Lotto Team Thread Hi Team - just a quick reminder that Monday July 14th is the LAST day of week one of the challenge. It would be great if at this time you could make sure your google spreadsheet is up to date with your achieved and GOAL stages and distance/time for the week. (there are currently a few blank spaces on some of the teams) I will get an interim result up in the forum on Wednesday assuming that whatever is in your team spreadsheet is the results for your team. I have updated the spreadsheets so they are all calculating goals consistently across the board and as always if you have any questions let me know. Your team spreadsheet is here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-Df2nRbTRQILw&hl=en To login to Google Docs: Username: btchallenge Password: challengeforum
Hope everyone has had a great first week! Dont forget to keep supporting and inspiring your team mates - make sure you all keep in touch! 2 weeks left! (and feel free to stir up the other teams a bit too) |
