Morning early risers...

Are you sicko's back at work yet?

Glad your feeling better, now Sal, think you can get your running miles in  ?

Sitting at my desk, although I could get used to the whole working from home thing...

And NO.  I will not be running until I feel better...although it will be above freezing this Saturday...

YAAY!!  HipHip Hooray for beautiful weather!!!!   I'm not sure I'll get my few miles left in with the way my left leg is feeling.  Had crash on mtn yesterday, not good.  Though the snow was great.

Hope your crash was near the end of your day and not at the beginning.  Did you get some good skiing in?

Now, did I scare everybody off.

I was just joking about the running mileage Sal.

So I'm sitting on the courtesy computer at the dealership while waiting the expected four hours for my car... ugh!!!

Do they not loan you a rental car so that you don't have to sit around?

They offer a ride to whereever you need to go.  But I really don't need to go anywhere.... the thought of going shopping when I'm about to dish out $7 to $800 dollars on car repairs makes me sick.  As well, I just spent that $700 on my skiis and still want my $1500 MacBook.  Am I sounding spoiled?  Guess if I really was I'd be shopping.

Have you seen that new "air" mac or apple?  Thin and light.  I've only seen the commercials.

I enjoyed Kite Runner.  It has some tough parts that you need to get through.  Not tough writing, but tough situations.  His other book "Thousand Splendid Suns" is also very good.  I'm reading a book called "13 moons" right now.  It is going to be our county wide reading program book this summer and I have to help plan the programs for it.

Our Co library system did a reading promotion a while back that included displays in our recreation centers with paper back books (I think the book was 'The Crane' or something)  They asked the people to simply take a book, read it during their workout and return it when they were done.  It turned out pretty good, the patrons in the facility like it.  I saw a lot of people reading while on the stationary cycles.

That sounds cool.  I don't think we've tried putting it into workout places before.  I'll have to bring it up at the next meeting.  Thanks for the idea.

Not Kendra, but Kite Runner is one of those books that leaves an impact on you.  I'm old enough to remember the events in Afghanistan, watching them solely on TV.  The book (surprisingly fiction) makes it very 'real.'  Book is graphic, though, few parts had me cringing...

Hiya, Nibbs!

Though I'd do a drive-by post now. I'm teaching a lifeguard class tonight and tomorrow night, so probably won't be around much. I am excited about the beginning of the Peep Wars. Tri-training makes me so happy! Glad the meds are starting to kick in for you, Sal and Judi. Yay! Kendra gets to swim (when she gets a chance)! TTYL

How many teams do you think you're having?  If you are trying to keep them small (10-12) then you'll probably need to divide 3 or 4 pastel colors with the same number of animals.  Lavendar bunnies/pink bunnies/yellow bunnies...going down the line till you're filled up

I would use colours, given that peeps come in different colours. That keeps it simple anyway.

I just want to make sure it has plenty of potential for inter team banter!
