On my end.. I woke up woth a fever and a sore throat... ummm not a good week just got a whole lot worse... its not like calling in sick is really an option until Friday... between meetings and a missing boss so I will see how i go...

Needless to say thre will be no training tonight i think I will be coming right home after work to sleep...

Speaking of work... guess i better get dressed and hit the road!

I was ofered the job with the insurance company!

Offer is okay but not fabulous money--however there are NO weekends, holidays, mandatory stupid meetings, on call or drunken jerks in this picture so it's well worth it!

Congratulations Judy

Okay, you were all talking about your mornings.  Mine started in a hotel room at 5:30am.  The room next door must of been getting ready to go catch an early flight.  TV was blaring and they were talking to each other above the sound of the TV.

I called the front desk and asked them to ask the room to quiet down.  I didn't hear the phone ring, but I could hear her talking to the person on the phone.  "We're not yelling, we're just talking"  Gets off the phone and continues to talk in the LOUD voice.

So, I ended up getting up at 5:30 because by the time they were gone, I was too wired to go back to sleep.

Don't you love hotel rooms?

Ummm I dont have  any but they do make steering a little hrder but are great for a straight line... you come out of aero for climbing and cornering...

Some corners can be taken in aero but you gradually work up to it with practice. Places like an empty carpark are great to practice cornering and turning in a safe environment!

Ha, that's a good one.  Catch up on missed sleep.  I have about 20 years of missed sleep to catch up on and I don't see it happening any time soon.

That's so annoying.  Something like that happened before a race last year, except it was at night.  A bunch of runners staying in the same hotel as state girls' basketball championships seems like a really bad idea.  Why would you put them on the same floor?

That's great!!  It sounds like a huge improvement over your current job.  The benefits of no weekends and holidays are worth a ton!

I decided to hold off for now. Don't have the money anyway. I really had my sights on a new Specialized Dolce.

That's kind of why I held out from the other interviews I went on...the possibility of no weekends was just too good--No more feeling like I owe the world a favor by taking a weekend to race or vacation
