Well, for me...it's called being a husband and father...neither of those titles would work if I didn't work out in the morning before work. I rarely do workouts at night. Filled with too many family obligations...
I have to work at 7:30 every day and I NEED time alone with coffee and the internet before starting off the day. Once the weather gets nicer (I feel like I keep saying that!!) I'll start doing some morning runs. |

Extreme Veteran 461 Minnesota | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVII) - come join us :) So, I'm starting to get nervous about the half marathon tomorrow! My training for it was horribly not on track. I ran up to 11 miles and that was 3 weeks ago. I was supposed to run up to 12, but missed that run due to school. The last 3 weeks have been hit or miss when it comes to running. We'll see what happens I guess. |

I would say go out easy on the first 10K, then pick it up as your fitness allows during the last half of the race. That approach never works for me. If I start slow, I stay slow Listen to your body, run the best race you can, and, of course, HAVE FUN Good luck, tomorrow! |

Pro 4507 Simpsonville, SC | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVII) - come join us :) Good morning, Nibbs. A nice, fresh thread! Hope the rest of the East Coast Nibbs weren't bothered by the storms. My part of the country appears to be in a vacuum. Bad storms just vanish once they hit the Appalachians, which is fine by me. Going to have lunch with my daughter (@10:45 ) then it's off to werk. HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVII) - come join us :) Morning Nibbs! Happy Friday!! I got one of my test results back - my TSH levels are low again, so we are increasing the synthroid levels. I seem to have a good understanding of when that is off, which is helpful. Still waiting on all of the more interesting tests. |

Most 1/2 marathon programs only have you doing 9 miles as your max distance. Adrenaline from the race and the taper this week will get you through the last 4 miles. Bryan's gonna let us know if there's a convenient place to meet before the race, in the park. I started a thread. Good luck tomorrow...you'll do just fine... |

I've been ready since about 9 am this morning. What have I done today? Finished a library book that is due on Monday (non-work related, of course). Stalked Googled an old co-worker who changed jobs recently. Bemoaned my students' insistence on taking my exams in the very last time slot, which delays my ability to grade them until this weekend (or next week, realistically). Wondered why I'm at work. Made a to-do list. Did one thing on the list. Realized the list is too long to do. Checked out my posting-rating. Realized I'm falling behind...darn that Aikidoman. Thought about posting lots to catch up. Thought about catsup. Mmm. I like catsup. Debated whether I should do speedwork on the treadmill or go for a run outside. Decided not to decide since I'm not going yet. Maybe it will be storming again. Posted long rambling streams of conscious on Nibbs. Me too! |

The tooth fairy visited my daughter on Sunday. She left two dollars. She also left the tooth because DD had written a note to the tooth fairy requesting this. I must admit, said note made me cry. |

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVII) - come join us :) Is the tooth fairy supposed to come when a tooth is pulled by the dentist? I saved the tooth, but somehow it didn't seem right being as that it didn't fall out on it's own so I didn't even tell him about the tooth fairy. I've been worried lately that the fake tooth is damamging the gums (uh oh) BOYS!!! |

Came home to quickly wash and dry the shirt. It was so scratchy. Then back to Rely for all the festivities. Have a great Friday evening everyone. |
