YES!  The boss is leaving early to watch the foot ball game.  I'm leaving too and getting my bike in early, then enjoy the second half...  WOOT!

I have time to workout tonight, but I don't know if I should.  I'm feeling a bit better, I'd said okay, but not fabulous.  I feel so weird not working out, but I don't want to do more harm than good.  Any thoughts?

Yes...

I was sick last week, but still wanted to get my time in.  I just do the time, but take it easier - like Z1 (recovery).  I feel glad that I got it in, but I know that I'm not stressing body too much more.

Hey Aikido, did you see my last bike question before you left old TAN?  When will you be able to pick up the new ride, and which fork does it have?

Well last week I could barely manage walking the dog.  This week is going better.  I've thought about just doing some light core/strength stuff.  A run would be great but perhaps pushing it.  I have another doctor's appt today, perhaps I should wait to hear what he thinks.  I dunno.  I'm just so congested - we had choir rehearsal last night and I was so stuffy afterwards, also I couldn't really get my 'Ds' out.

Not sure on either.  I'm assuming around this weekend to get it.  I was talking about the build kit on the cervelo thread that just started, and I'm hoping to get the new upgrades...

Yeah, saw your response when I took a look at that thread.  I also saw the new Felt thread, and have to say I like the look of the new B16.  Maybe in 2 years I'll be able to find an '09 laying around somewhere...because I don't see switching up much before then.

Well, that sounds more serious than my head cold.  However, I guess what I meant, is just go at a pace that feels comfortable.  If it's just core work, then so be it.  I was able to do upper z1 work with no real issue (normally it's a little harder).

But that's just my preference.  Some people like to lay in bed all day and get grungy (my dad was like that).  I prefer to get around as much as I can, take lots of showers to feel clean.  Just make me feel better.  Laying around made my dad feel better.  Just preference.

First post, first page.

Hi all!  Love this site.

Oh my goodness.  I don't know if we have EVER had a first page first poster in TAN before.

Welcome to the addiction.  Not only Triathlons, but TAN.

Quick intro.  TAN means Thread About Nothing.  Leave your ego at the door cause if you get offended easily, this ain't the place for you.

Three rules.

1.  No LOL in TAN.  Anything else is fair game.

2.  No Pics in TAN.  Takes up too much space.

3.  durn it, remind me, what is #3?  Besides not getting the durn thing yanked.  I think I'm getting old.  someone want to help me out here?!?!?!?!

Besides appropriate content, that goes for all of BT - what happens in TAN stays in TAN - don't talk about TAN convos outside of TAN. And no bashing other threads or non-TAN people in TAN. Not that you should bash anyone, but generally, don't "talk" about non-TAN'ers here.

Thanks darlin'.  I knew I was forgetting that one.

You forgot rule #4...

Its always good to kick ryan in the ding ding...

I grew up in Monroe.  It's east of Des Moines about 40 miles.  We also lived in Leon, better known as the armpit of Iowa :-)

It's our homestate and we love it.  But KC is our home now.

How long have you lived there?  It'll grow on you

OH YEAH...

I forgot to mention.  Since we downsized, we don't need some of our office space.  I need to move to a new office tomorrow.  that should be fun.  Moving desks instead of doing desk work....

Good ride today. I was KILLING those hills.

All that running I've been doing seems to be paying dividends.

Nice!  It's cool when it comes together.  I was able to tackle some 7% grades on my last long ride and never broke Z2.  I could never do that a year ago.  Granted, I was only doing something like 5mph, but it was still easy(er)....
