First order of business is overcoming the craptasticness that was September...

Base building, drop 5#, get some good momentum going to keep me going through the winter.

After this weekend's race I'll be on a 3-4 week training hiatus (from serious training, I'll be active through swimming, mtn biking and a little running). Once November hits my training plan kicks in with major focus on swimming, nutrition and the 70.3 distance.

I'll finally be working with a local coach and I'm very excited. We're current schedule LT tests as well as swim, bike and run assessments. 2009 should be a good year!

After going through this season with way too small of a cardio base, I'm going to need to work on that this off-season. October will be all about going longer, and slower. This winter I'd like to set a couple of PR's (half-mary and 10K), but I haven't scheduled any races yet. I'm leaning towards doing IM France next June, so I'll have to step it up after New Years.

Finish my plan for my Nov. race strong.  Then ease back on the s/b/r for a while and take up more strength training and yoga during the month of off season.  Then back to it for an early spring race.

It always seems the off season is my on season.  I always get more training done during the cold months.  Maybe I should switch to Cx and cross country skiing.

My main goals so far are:

Swim 7 to 8 times a week and  get my T pace solidly under 2:00

Run 5+ days a week and go sub 20 in the 5k and sub 90 in the HM

Keep up a solid workout schedule and make all of my 5 am swims after the baby is born

No pushing in October.

No pushing in Offseason.

Already began training for next year since I missed all of this year.

My goal is to actually get some 'cake' for once. Do proper base training at a low HR instead of everything at tempo.

I'm already tired of hearing the words 'off season' ..

I'm going to destroy October and then take a a week 'easy' and then continue on.

I am doing my first marathon at the end of the month (Marine Corps).  My goal is to finish that.  I have a running goal of 115 miles for the month.  Not worried about biking or swimming right now.

Well on October 3rd I am running an LT test

I am now running a good 50 minutes, but my HR is not as low as I want, based on Age-220 Max HR.  So after my LT test tommorrow, I will reset my HRM.  If my zones change alot then I may lower or aise my starting base of 50 minutes.  Then run every other day at the low zone rate to build my base.  I would like a good solid 90 minute run time at a steady low HR by the end of October.

The bike will be at least once per week on the trainer, roads and weather are really sucky now.  I wanted to just run, but I miss my bike already.

Swim is going to be at least 7 hours pool time.

I am starting the month at 217, still shooting for 200 by Christmas

I am looking to meet some triathletes throughout my city.... and perfect my swimming freestyle stroke.

Also simply increase my vo2 max..... and get some very powerful fatiqueless legs.

I need to buy a p2sl ultergra because its hot.....and maybe if i have enough, a wetsuit.
