Uh oh....I didn't get a quiet team did I?

Are y'all going to force me to talk to myself?

Don't think I won't do it.

I get bored at work.  I can make up stories.  Maybe if you don't check in often enough I'll make up stories about you.

I'm not shy or quiet   Just spend waaaayyyyy too much time in COJ!

Ahhh...one of those.

COJ is fairly new addiction for me

Any advice for knitting my hat? I'm scared to start! Knitting for Dummies wasn't too helpful. I looked at a couple videos online but they made me want to drive a knife through my forehead...and turn it...slowly...

Anyway, what do you knit?

I knit just about anything. Hat's, scarves, socks, sweaters, bags.  Whatever catches my fancy.

Have you looked at the videos on KnittingHelp.com.  They're pretty decent.

Let's see...advice for knitting a hat.  First of all, don't be afraid.  Worst case scenario you rip back and start over.  Frustrating but at least all you lost was time.  And maybe you learn something in the process.  Second.  Take care not to twist your knitting when joining for knitting in the round.  Third.  I don't know.  I can't think of a third.

Good luck!

I don't know if I checked there. I might have picked a pattern that is too intimidating. I should have picked something that was just stockinette  or a simple k/p pattern.

I have to live here and the cold sucks! But the city is great...

I thought you work nights?  Shouldn't you be working or at least catching up on sleep?

Hi GPs!  Pounding Ground is the one thing I won't be doing anytime soon -- tweaked my knee over the weekend and went running anyway just to make sure it was hurting   But I can still ride and swim and do core work which is what I need to focus on anyway.  Looking forward to a fun month!

I do work nights. I have to stay up late (read: 2-4am) on my nights off to keep the schedule. If not, its HARD when I go back to work. Once I'm on the schedule its easier to keep it. Went to bed at 0300 last night, slept until 11. I'll take a nap tomorrow as well.

OK Folks...  Glad to be here on the "Ground Pounder" team.  This is my first time participating in the challenge forum.  I am in the military as well, and also do not have organized PT.  I have been in a bit of a slump lately workout wise.  I plan on using the challenge as an excuse to get my workout in while I am at work, as that is encouraged.  So, I have that going for me!

Sorry, but I don't knit....  No help there.  I can swim, run, and ride though!  I was also thinking about doing the 100 pushups workout as part of my 30 minute workouts.  Might as well combine two challenges.

Looking forward to the challenge.  Let's go Ground Pounders!

I'm doing push-up challenge as well......I've learned 2 things 1) push-ups suck and 2)I really don't like push-ups

Want to learn? We can incorporate knitting lessons into the challenge. That'll make our team really special.

If you practice real hard you can learn to surf the net and knit at the same time.  Combine your addictions.

Hi everyone! Looks like an awesome team! Great to see BT friends, and looking forward to getting to know those of you I don't I love challenges, cus when I have a hard time getting motivated the thought of letting down my team always gets me going!

My home is in Kalispell, Montana, but I spend most the time living in an RV and traveling around the Pacific Northwest with my husband (gslye) for his job. I just finished my second year of triathlon. Did my first Oly in September and am planning a HIM for next Summer. I'll also start training for my first Marathon in November to be run early April. Most the time I train with gslye, as he just did his first tri this Summer and is hooked too! I'm a lucky girl!

Looking forward to a great month of training! We're gonna kick some azz!

Go Ground Pounders!!!
