Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() PSU, OSU, UW and Iowa will all win their bowl games. NW has a chance, Minnesota, not so much and MSU could pull it off. Yes, Texas is good but nobody in the Big 12 plays any defense. OSU can play defense and the fact that Pryor will be going against the so so defense of Texas gives OSU the edge. USC vs. PSU is much more of a tossup in my mind. Yes, USC won the pac 10 this year but the pac 10 was bad bad bad..... Oh, for the other BSC games: Florida, Cincy and Bama will win. No I believe he is the new coach at Auburn. Does anyone know if Charles Barkley is a graduate of Auburn? I love the guy but if he didn't graduate I don't think they should call Auburn his alma mater. |

Poster, life is too short to be so bitter. Sorry to hear THE Ohio State University gets under your skin. There was no fluke about the a$$ kicking the Buckeyes took in the Coliseum. Would it have been a different game with Beanie? Any logical thinking person would say absolutely. Enough to overcome 32 points....NO WAY! * stick out tongue* |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I hate Michigan more than I hate OSU so I'll defend you. Yes Beanie Wells would have made a difference but how much I am not sure. Then again he had a hard time against my Nittany Lions. Also Kirk Herbstreit or Herb Kirkstreit, whatever his name is picked PSU over USC. Joepa will soon have players that are great grandkids of former players. Scary! |

Texas feels "cheated" out of a shot at the NC game. The Buckeyes have to prove to themselves and the country that they can play with anyone. They have the talent, they just need to perform. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin, you know what I'm sayin! GO BUCKS!
I agree totally with your assesment of this game. This game interests me for the exact reasons you pointed out. For me it comes down to McCoy vs your Froshman (I can't remember his name, not being disrespectful it just escapes me right now). We know what we're going to see in McCoy...your kid is a wild card, he has looked like a world beater at times and clueless at times. That would be Mr. Terrell Pryor. If he can just "not lose the game" I think he and Beanie can do enough! What's the type of offense that gives tOSU fits? The spread. What does Texas run? The Spread. How many QBs has tOSU faced this year that put up the stats & wins that Colt McCoy has? 0. What's tOSU's achilles heel? Defenses with speed. What does Texas have plenty of? Defensive speed. Texas' record vs top-25 opponents: 3-1, with their only loss coming at the last second on the road vs a team ranked #2 tOSU's record vs top-25 opponents: 1-2, with their only win coming against #20 Michigan State Texas' total offense: #9 nationally tOSU's total offense: #78 nationally(one spot below Texas A&M, which means tOSU would be last in the Big 12) When even the tOSU homer Lou Holtz is saying the Buckeyes are in trouble, you've got to wonder what your chances are. |

It is quite obvious that we have ZERO chance of winning. I am sure Coach Tressel's response will be the same when I told him not to show up against Miami U for the NC game in 2002.
