Good morning team.... Nice spinning class for me this morning and I am planning on doing a tempo run tonight.... That's the catch-up run from being hung over on New Year's day....

There were a few DNF  due to those breakers .  Once past them it was as they say "smooth sailing".

I have a run and a bike to do today and then make up the strength from yesterday - we went out with friends for dinner last night so I didn't get it in. Worst part is the weight loss from this week so far went as well

Okay team. By end of day Friday we need to be at 29% to be on track. Right now the team collective is at 16.7%.

Sooooooo...let's hop on the bikes, jump in the pool, wear out our running shoes, lift those weights and keep up the work that we have all begun towards a great year and a winning challenge month.

I got a swim in today so I am on track with my goals so far this month. Have a great night all.

 I Imagine some of those participants did not swim Open Water before the event .  Yikes ! 

The waves are meaner than the sharks.  

The clydesdale wave  was later  so while we were waiting to start  I saw one man did get taken out of the water with broken ribs as he got picked up and body slammed by a huge 10 ft wave.  

Just back from lunch where i ran  hills for 40 min  and  20 min on the gym bike .  I think  gym cardio  equipment is  a bit generous with the data  .  Supposedly i was going 28 mph  !   Riiight !    I wish....

Hey challenge mates- you are all looking great! Tonight was a spin class which is not in my challenge goals but was lots of fun. I'm using Jorge's Increase Your Cycling Power schedule to plan the classes- short intervals tonight were a blast. Short run planned for tomorrow then a long run (for me anyway) on Saturday.  It looks like snow Saturday so we will see how that goes.... Almost TGIF on this coast!

Good morning peeps.... Rest day for me today.... I didn't make the 29% on my goals this week, but I right on my plan for this month, so no worries. Tomorrow then a nice bike ride outside, if it's not too cold and also a short run..... Sunday will be my long run.....

29% for the run, 28% for the bike, 0% for the swim !  But, I knew when I signed up that I couldn't swim the first week so all is ok there! 

Today is a rest day for me as well, but if I get out of work on time I am learning to ride the rollers and I may grab a few extra bike miles on it.

Don't forget to update the spreadsheet if you haven't already, and have a great weekend everyone!!!

Did the lunch instead of swim yesterday but talked about   working out , i know i know talk is cheap , 

also barely skated at the practice.  So a rest day .   Going for a run now followed by a quick bike and strength  session.  And yes do update the spreadsheet with all the results of your hardy efforts .
