My partner just flew into New Orleans after having her flight cancelled yesterday. How's the weather down that way?

LOL to whomever updated the spreadsheet for my "other" category and wrote in Beers.

Funny thing is, my running club has a public log and Beers is a sheet of its own. So, I'm already tracking that. No goals though - just tracking what I drink. I would hope with the Ironman training, I'd cut back somewhat... Ahhh, after St. Pat's day.

runnerx - 2009-03-02 11:04 PM Oh, and my hair is such a mess after the pool. I can't do a think with it. I swim with curlers in and one of those bathing caps with all the little doodads hanging off - like an old Esther Williams movie. Out of curiosity, is this a female dominated team that I joined on to? Any other males?

Yup, all girls.

Is your bathing cap as good as this?

LMAO...is that your racing cap? lovin it!

I just use it for training.  I wear it with my bathing suit with the skirt on the bottom.  That way nobody expects me to go too fast.

I'm sticking to my plan...kinda...sorta...I'm doing the workouts, but they're all in random order this week because of my business travel. So just getting in whatever, whenever.

I will say, I'm doing awesome on the beer consumption!!!

oh the shame!!! what has gone wrong with my bright sun filled day???

shoes did not arrive!?

ran to the store to get some batteries for a camera...and arrived to find a note that they tried to deliver a box...and 2nd attempt will be tomorrow! TIMING WAS AWFUL!

and then if that is not bad enough! the sun is gone! doh! no rain as of yet...but grey skies everywhere! so I will go and find those nasty old worn out shoes I have been running in (actually they are ok..just wanted my new ones) and go for a run...and then i may even go for a swim! now that I am not waiting for big brown delivery trucks any more!

ah shucks! I wish! haha!

instead I waited most of the day for my new shoes to be delivered...and they never came!  but I did run a little over 6 miles in the fastest time I have run in some 15 years! so I am finally all smiles again...funny it is late and the sun is shining!

MDHillSlug - 2009-03-05 10:18 AM Great run yesterday! I'm still working on building up my distance.

I'm still working on a run that qualifies as a "distance".  Wink

The last time I ran 5K was 12 years ago.  It's taking a bit longer to work up to that distance than it used to.  I think I need a nice velor jogging suit to go with my flowered swim cap.
