Good Goal Jen! welcome around, remember you get bonus points if you nag/brag/and otherwise annoy the other teams! (ok not really but it will be more entertaining me-thinks.)

We need some more chatter on our own thread, they're killing us in the secondary competition in post counts.  Of course, there are a few well known post count padders among the groups

Hello Power Rangers :-)

I just joined BT a couple of days ago, after a complete lack of activity for far too long. This contest sounded like the perfect way to reintroduce myself to the world of exercise. My goal is consistency - a minimum of three workouts a week, no excuses. I'm planning on following the BT plan for 'Couch to 5K'.

I live in Fairbanks, Alaska, so there aren't a ton of options for races. I was aiming for the Midnight Sun Run on June 21st, but I thought it was a 5K and then was informed yesterday that it's actually a 10K. Not sure I'll be quite ready for that, so I'll see what other events I can dig up. It should be warm enough to walk/run outside soon which I'm really looking forward to.

Can't wait to start working out and kicking butt!! "GO GO POWER RANGERS!"

did someone mention padding post counts???

Not that I have ever done that....yet

So apparently mother nature is playing April fools on Seattle....by making it snow here...it's Crazy! I just hope it stops by tonight so I can get in my short run outside vs on the Dreadmill of spooky doom in the gym. Running outside is so much nicer even though I can never tell how far I have run that way. Oh well!

Apparently in my effort to 'pad' our posts by sprucing up things with pretty pics of Power Ranger prowess, I suffered from electronic boneheadism. Will try again...

What's the temp up there in Alaska? Still snow on the ground? When does it hit 60 or say 70 degrees?? Or does it?

All riiight!! I figured out how you guys were getting snippets of other people's comments in your posts. Hey, it's the little things in life.... Smile

It was zero degrees Fahrenheit on my front porch this morning. Probably around 20 degrees right now... This is actually cooler than it has been, the temp lately hovers around freezing during the day, so things have started to melt, but, yeah... quite a bit of snow left. At least a foot pretty much everywhere, deeper where it drifts.

But it will get warm during the summer. 60s, 70s and 80s are pretty common during July and August. Summer just doesn't last too long - we had snow on September 29th in '08, and we've had it ever since!

Hey! You've got those 'snippets' down pat now

And I thought we had long winters here in WI, with snow from end of November til March (most gone now except for some big piles in parking lots...although some flurries today but not sticking). Peeps around here are known to venture out wearing shorts when its 45 degrees!

But ZERO? Yowza! But I'll bet you enjoy EVERY single moment of your Summer! And if you want more races/tris, venture down to the lower 48.

That is soooo funny you said that ... I went out for a 45-minute ride and had to come back after 15--total mental block and no energy ... and I'm all headachy and fuzzyheaded ...

Then I realized I didn't have any COFFEE today and I'm a total addict! duh! Sucking on some now.

The puppies are wonderful!

Hahaha nice Yanti.

That is the great thing about living in Seattle. If I went 15 minutes away from my house, by bike, in any direction, at almost any time I would arrive at 1 or more places to get decent to great coffee (I don't go to the ones I know have bad coffee so they don't count). Though I have had way to much today already.

Ok I really need to work but motivation is hard when it is that gross out AND I have netflix waiting at home.
