Heard about Tellez from my neighbor.  That sucks so bad.  I hope the guy's alright.

Don't read the comments on the bottom of the article that Yosel posted.  It'll just tick you off.

I started a thread last week about sharing the road and how everyone should share the road because we all pay taxes that provides for those roads (property tax, sales tax in FL, Federal Taxes too).  Cars, Bikes, Runners, we all own that road.

That's the same road Donte' Stallworth hit that dude on.

We got an email from the race director saying he is home and will be fine. The comments were just to show people how other south floridians disregard cyclist and are just plain ignorant.

I'm glad he's alright.

There are a lot of old fogeys down here who think they have the right to turn left from the right lane, but that we don't have the right to use the road at all.

"Cyclists should stick to Sidewalks"  What a jerkus.

This is the best post from that article:

Paved roads were built before cars existed. At the time they were used mainly by horse drawn carriages. Then they invented the bicycle and they used roads for decades before cars became popular. Bicyclist allowed cars to share the road, not the other way around. You sir are a moron.

Classic!

Got home late and just now reviewing the threads.  I am glad the guy is ok but sucks that he was in the lead.  I can only imagine that being in first the police were only focusing on the outbound riders and shocked that he returned so quickly.

Gave my best shot at my first triathlon report (being my first race as well).  I thought the race was great and hope to see some of you next month.  Yosell, you should have told me about the cost of Prime Pasta...cost me a future bike upgrade, lol.  Here is my report for you all to laugh at,

I read on their website something along the lines of "Wetsuits? NO WAY"

Im guessing the answer is no, they are not allowed.

the water was too hot in the last one to wear anything but shorts.....let alone a wetsuit it was like a bath.

Yeah, unless the water is super cold do you really want a wetsuit for a sprint race.  Your T1 time is long enough due to the long run to the transition point (from the swim end).  Not to mention that the water is about 80 degrees.

In preparing to complete a simulated sprint this morning in anticipation of next week's Trilogy #2 I jumped on the multirace.com website to find the race has a new venue. It will now take place out of the Marine Stadium due to construction on the Bear Cut Bridge.Kinda bummed as I was looking forward to the same exact track to compare times to from the first race. We will all look like rock stars as the bike is now only 8 miles, one tenth has been knocked off the run, and the olympic run from the water to T1 at Crandon gets eliminated. Have any of you experienced this course before?

The place is nice...it the same place where we raced the M.I.T Miami International Triathlon....the swimming course is in calm/flat waters (Intercostal)...it's where the Miami Rowing Club practice...the bike is the same of the Trilogy...except that you won't go to Crandon Park cuz the small bridge will be closed and it will be shorter...and...they added Virginia Key that...it's part of  the Olympic Distances...The run leg is nice...cuz...it's very shadow...there is a section that is a paved trail and other section is dirty trail...

Good Luck...!!!
