I guess it's free advertising for him  Too bad the "crab" is already taken... BT-Maryland would be fine. We need to register for this race by next week for the early bird price so we should come up with a name by then. Do you all think the VA folks would want to get in on our team or should we just do MD? We could have MD vs VA at the local races - a little friendly competition in the blogs  DiamondMan is the half iron put on by Piranha sports on Sept 13th if anyone is interested in that one. There's not a lot of competition so there's def placing potential (think BT team points!!!!) Team BT MDBT.com (we should buy this domain - it's only going for $2,669 right now!) BT-Maryland ...? |

Trying to save up for new bike, Ragnar relay stinks, and obviously bills are more than I can afford right now. Especially if I have to find a place to stay prior to the race (ie hotel/motel)
Maybe I'll follow someone and spectate. |

I'm off for the summer from racing since my spring has been packed and Sept./Oct. are going to be a beast on my schedule. So I actually have to focus on training!! |

We're a little late into the season but I'm pretty sure that most of us will be doing some more of their races this year. Next year we'll be a little more organized and possibly make a showing in the season long team standings. |

Ehh screw it.. I'll do the race. I figure I'll make the registration fee back in a day of work or so. Also would enjoy it with some friends and could always enjoy a race thats on a Saturday which means a nice day to enjoy the beach. |

That brings our grand total of racers on our team to 2. Hopefully everyone else can sign up over the weekend before the price goes up ... unless you are made of money  in which case you can take your sweet ol' time  |

It's only 400m and the swim is in a lake, so the potential for very warm water this time of year would seem pretty high... With such a short race I'm thinking I can save myself a minute or two by just ditching the wetsuit. What do you guys think? |

That swim was about the same distances and 6 weeks earlier. Yeah, I'm still wrestling with the fact that the wetsuit is my OWS security blanket/source of extra speed. It's not much, but that little bit of flotation is nice. This would be a good race to try to get over that, though. |
