ok, even stranger, when I tried cutting and pasting the code in it just leaves it as code....

so I finally inserted a table and used some of the attributes (like the bg photo) which then worked for my whole log - which is fine

then it disappeared - so I redid it.....

Hey Victoria, I am back in your time zone this week.  Have meetings in Zurich until Friday.  Maybe some early morning post padding  conversation?

Landed in Zurich at 9am.  First meeting in the city at 11am and straight to dinner afterwards, so no workout today. Had time for a quick recon on the hotel. Whoa!! Hotel has an exercise bike in the rather limited "fitness center" so may be able to increase my goal.  Will figure it out tomorrow.  However, also had  a "middle aged, overweight, naked man" in the sauna and wandering about.  Could be a real deterrent to hotel fitness center activity.  If I decide to just run this week, please forgive me.

On the plus side, EU tv coverage of the tour is great.

ok I got the code to work by going and editing through settings instead of directly on my training log - not sure why that worked any differently - but it did!!!

Thanks Victoria!!!

oh, and Jeff - GET ON YOUR BIKE!!!

Thanks for doing the spread sheet Victoria. I logged my times too and it worked fine.
I'm so mad though, our cable company decided to block versus off of our basic cable plan. Didn't notice until now because the only thing I ever watch on it is the tour. I don't know what to do. Mabey I'll sign up for more than basic cable for this month or just follow online. Bummer though because the tour is usually the only thing we watch the whole month of July . Hope everyone's rides went well today. Are we supposed to pick a team member we want to be?

Morning everybody!  Hope everyone is off to a good start on their challenge.  I did get some time on the bike in the fitness center this morning (no sign of "naked man" thankfully) so will definitely take my goal up.

Hope everyone's Tuesday is a good one.

I'm gonna spend my day at a near by beach and cycle in the evening. I wanted to take Bonnie, my doggie, with me but she burnt her paws on our last walk. The pavement was so hot and my poor baby suffers now... I feel so bad... The vet said she's gonna be fine in a few days.

Have a great day and don't forget to ride your bikes!!!!!
Goooooo team!

Switzerland is beautiful and Zurich is a nice city.  Hope I don't offend anyone, but it is a little boring compared to other major EU cities ie Paris, London.  I won't have much down time this week, so won't get out and about much.  BTW I love Greece.  Have only been to Crete, but it was terrific.

I heard this before. Also, that people are not very friendly. Hope it's not true in your case.
I like Crete too.Though it's been quite a long time since the last time I went there.
It's a beautiful island and the food is sooooo good

Are you going to visit more EU cities?

Just Zurich on this trip.  Most of the people I work with are really great, but the Swiss are fairly reserved.  I'm in Europe quite frequently....sounds exciting but it is a lot of jetlag and really makes training consistantly difficult.  But hey, everybody has challenges.  You just have to deal with it.

This is a quiet group.   Although I guess many are probably still at work.  Did anyone ride today?  How was it?  Mine was 35 mins on the stationary bike in the hotel.  Not very exciting, but better than nothing.  Will probably run tomorrow morning.  Going to see if I can catch some Tour action on the telly and then shut down for the night.

Good eve Team,

I have gotten all of my rides in for the Stages. And have even exceeded my time goal so far. I rode the commuter bike to the store, gym and then home after swimming. How is everyone else doing?

Today's Team Time Trial was really good. I won't spoil it for anyone who has not had the chance to watch...but do if you can. Tomorrow is another day for the Fast Men....maybe Thor can get a win then.

Well off to eat dinner and chill. Everyone have a great night!!!

Watching stage 4 now with the commentary - but I already checked the winners....I had to work until 6 so no way was I waiting!

Someone help me out here, as it is my first challenge.  Some of the teams have enormous post counts, but when I look there are many post paddings  going on....is this part of the challenge that I missed???

cheers

Always see some chatty groups and some of them take posting on as a secondary challenge.  Some more seriously than others.  We seem to be a bit quiet. Part of the benefit of a challenge is to encourage everyone on.  Hard to do if we're silent.  Maybe a quick survey will help get things rolling.

What is everyone riding for their TdF?  I'm on a 3 year old Specialized Roubaix Comp.  I have "bike envy" at every race, but am sticking with what I have for now.

I think I have the worst bike of the challenge. I ride on a 2 year old crappy city bike.
But I'm going to buy this one soon.... hope so

Good morning!

Kim: I have a Specialized Allez Road bike and love it. I also have a Giant commuter and Javelin Sizzano, Javelin Narni Tri bikes. I seem to collect bikes like some women collect shoes. I just love them. Maybe someday I'll be faster.

Victoria: That is a beautiful bike. I have never seen one before but it is very fast looking.

Here is a pic of my Tri babies:

Everyone have a great day and get your ride in, if you have one today.

just getting a Specialized Ruby S-works so now I have a road bike I like as much as my TT bike - even though I cannot really afford it....

also in the stable: Cannondale aluminum and a specialized fixed gear (lancaster seattle edition)

planning stage 3 for me today - if the rain holds off a TT

My bike is a K2 Mod 4 road bike with aerobars. Would love a tri bike with a compact double, but K2 works great for now. Also have a really old Schwinn Le Tour but have it out on loan right now to someone new to biking.
I wish I could watch the tour live (stupid cable company) guess I'll just have to keep track of the updates on the web. Will be heading to the lake tomarrow so won't be posting over the weekend. Back in the game on Mon. though

I am a bit lost. I forgot about signing up. I've been riding most days, and I can put my mileage together so far, it's all been entered into the training logs. I cant find the rules post to figure out exactly what im supposed to do, we're in the middle of packing for a move to Boston, but I'll be riding at least every other day for the next week and a half.
