CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-16 8:44 PM Looks like they are underway

Have Martin and Jens posted their picks???

I dont have coverage for awhile yet.... anything interesting?

Millar is trying to get away... took points over first climb but break of three brought back... approaching first sprint

Not surprised Millar is trying for another break...and with all the little climbs this would be goodfora irder like him!

CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-16 12:21 PM Is hushovd gonna try to gain a few points?

Cav took the 6 points, looks like he's wanting to keep green now
Hushovd 4
Casar 2

And I thought Cav said he was going with the *McEwen* strategy of stage wins nad not worrying about interim sprints...

With a max of 18 intermediate points on the road it is important not to rely on stage wins. I think this is strange and that the points jersey should only be on stage win points (all stages) the intermediate points should count towards "most aggressive rider" or something. I'm sure the giro do somthing like this

Well green jersey is really meant to be 'most consistent finsher'

Thats how Di Luca won the similar competition in the Giro... he was always near the front of the pack at the end of every stage...

Its unusal for them to be contested although based on the other day Thor may be thinking its his only way to get the jersey back....

Or Cav is thinking it's how he's gonna loose it...

True would have been the first time he contested an interim sprint too?

Guess it proves he wants it this year!

CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-16 8:07 AM Angelo Furlan (Lampre) has abandoned.

He seems to have been limping along since he crashed earlier in the tour.
