Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Team 3 Halloween Run Challenge Hi everyone, I know a few of you from the September challenge and looking forward to meeting the rest. I am brand new to all of this. A friend who did her first tri in August convinced me to train for next summer. To my shock, I am loving it! Maybe this is my mid-life crisis? LOL Since I am trying to build up some stamina jogging, this will be a good challenge month for me. GO TEAM #3 --definitely need a better name |

Master 1734 On a lake in the Adirondacks in NY | Subject: RE: Team 3 Halloween Run Challenge WooHoo! I love it when the team thread gets chatty days before the challenge starts. And it's great to be back with some teammates from earlier challenges. I kind of slacked off over the summer (training and posting) so I'm looking forward to getting back on track. For those who don't know me, I'm Debbie. I just finished my first tri season and I'm totally in love with the sport. It's been a crazy year for me. Over the summer my family left NJ for the wilds of upstate NY, and I gave up a job in finance (which I hated) and I'm now a self-employed yoga teacher. Training kept me sane. What does that say about me? Oh, and I hate running. But I want to do a half-marathon, so maybe I don't. I gave myself a couple of weeks off from training after my last tri, but I'll be ready to go again first week in October. I'm starting a half-mary plan so I'll be ready to try one in the spring, so the challenge is perfect timing. Hey Neal, are we going to talk about food all month? |

Glad you had a good run. Today I plan a bike ride -- but I am not sure how long. I am only 6 weeks into training so I am still feeling my way forward. But having lots of fun !! |

Extreme Veteran 597 New Joisy | Subject: RE: Team 3 Halloween Run Challenge Hi I am Tammy! I know a few of you from past challenges, I look forward to getting to know the rest of you. I got into triathlons as I am a swimmer first and as an alternate exercise I rode a bike. I always wanted to be a runner(they were always the coolest in High School), but was never good at it. I figured if I had two out of the three disciplines why not. Turns out I am a better runner than cyclist! My challenge for this month will be increasing the run. I love to run, but I rarely run beyond three miles. This month I hope to have at least 4 runs beyond 6 miles or so(I have to look at my logs). Can't wait to get started! |

I'm Kim and hope to keep up with what looks like a chatty team. I have a half marathon in November, so this challenge will help keep me on track for my training. I had a minor knee issue earlier this month but am back on track...ran a little over 6 this morning...but that get's logged in the Sept challenge. Great weather here in NJ so going to get outside for the rest of the day. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Hi Kim! 2 months in a row! |

I have a marathon on the 4th and will be taking some time off afterward. I should resume running by the end of the month, possibly doing a 10k or a half the last weekend of October. Hey Neal! Glad to be on a team with you again! That marathon is coming up soon! Are you ready? Ready and excited. Run training has been going extremely well. I just need to figure out what sort of pace to shoot for..... |

Say it isn't so Actually I plan on cleaning my diet up a little once the off season hits so I will probably only be posting about the things I WANT to eat.
