I like the logo and I think we can give "Five Alive" our own identity and connotations, distinct from the drink. I'm still open to other suggestions too, though. I like the idea of adding some of your links from my log as long as no one has any objections.

Yesterday would have been a rest day for me but I've had an easy week up to there so I decided to get started with an easy bike/run brick. Planning to hit the pool soon today and hope to get a long (for me) run in tomorrow. Go Go team 5, whatever we're called.

Team 5 Alive!

Ok - Now having been duly inspired by Lance's thrashing of Jan Ullrich in today's time trial, I am heading out for a ride. Rock on.

Here's my July (challenge) goals. This will be a mega-month for me ... my best ever. But, it is important for my 1/2IM prep. For me to meet my goals, many things (some are out ofmy control) must go right. Thankfully, most weeks include at least one "off" day, so that some schedule suffling can occur if need be. WHEN (not IF) I hit these goals, it will be a "monumental training accomplishment" for myself.

Truth be told, this month will be a good indicator for me if I am ready to take my training to the next level and get downright serious about it.

This month: I have master's class (EdAdmin), legion basbeall (pitching coach), and 2 softball leagues ... and last, but not least ... 2 young kids.

July 4-10: S-1:30(3600y), B-3:00(52mi), R-5:45(31mi) -- Run Focus
July 11-17: S-2:00(5100y), B-3:15 (54mi), R-1:30 (9mi) -- rec wk, Oly Race
July 18-24: S-2:15(4700y), B-5:30(82mi), R-2:40(16mi)
July25-31: S-2:30(5500y), B-3:15(53mi), R-3:45(22mi)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Totals: S-8:15(18900y), B-15:00(241mi), R-13:40(78mi)

Total Time: 34:55 Total miles: ~330
Total Session: 11+11+14=36

Strength Training whenever I can fit it in.

Since the captain's pow-wow thread is supposed to be for captains only, I'd like to let my captain know I'm in favour of Cavu9's revised system with the combined percentages and the 100% cap. Go 5 ALIVE!

How do I add you all to my log on the left, so I can quick access your logs?  I saw it yesterday and now I can't seem to figure out how to do that!

Thanks -

Click on your control panel icon which is the first icon under quick links on the right hand side of your training log. Then you will see on the right hand side of your control panel there are spaces to add your favorite people - ie Team Five Alive :-)

Ok, I have set my goals. That wasn't easy to do. I have no idea whether I will hit these goals or not. I have done them in time because I don't count laps and often run mountain trails so I don't know how many miles I am doing.

Swim: 6 hrs
Bike: 20 hrs
Run: 10 hrs

Good luck team.

Oh, and I know this has been discussed back and forth and I am sure that a decision has been made somewhere, but I am in this for the fun, not for the pledge. I already donate to two charities on a regular basis. I cannot afford to continue donating to extra charities each month through these challenges. I hope that is ok.

Welcome to the winning team Tara!

I have a request of all team members. If you haven't already done so, would you mind posting your goals in the goal section of your blogs so that when we go to inspire you, we can see where you are at? You can access this part of your training log by clicking on the control panel icon as I described in a post above. This will take you to the same page where you can add all of us to your list of favorite people . The editable fields for goals are down the bottom of the page.

Happy training all.

Hey y'all. Set my goals. I am doing it by hours vs distance. That is the best way for me. Here are my goals for the month.

Swim 7 hours
Run 10 hours
Bike 10 hours

My goals are very low due to the fact that I am pretty much a single mom right now. My husband is in Iraq. HOwver, i will do my best to meet and exceed these goals!!!!!

Hi Tara,

If no one has pm'ed you with instructions, see my posts above in this thread. You will have to enter everyone individually but it shouldn't take too long. The fields for this are on the right hand side of your window when you enter the control panel.

There is a list of our team somewhere within this thread too. Otherwise, just check out any one of our blogs and we will have all the members listed in the Other Blogs section.

I hope that helps.

Mal.

I started a small spread sheet the other day with our numbers on it. I recorded the units used with each commitment too, so I'd know which numbers to use for progress checks. I'm not sure which to use for TripleThreat's goals though since he listed both distance and time in his post. I'll have to check but I think some of the results you've got there are showing distance totals when the goal was listed in hours.

If I get some time tonight, I'll put TripleThreat's distance goals in and try to do some subtraction to get or check everyone's progress up to Monday. Is that what you need Renee?
