How many bikes do you have? (Page 2)

one too few 2 total, original hybrid and my Trek (road) bike.

I had two until some loser dope head stole my 19 year old commuter bike! 

My husband and I have 6 in the garage at the moment.  We each have a tri bike that gets used about 99% of the time.  We also each have a commuter bike that rarely gets used.  In addition, we have a 20+ year old mtn bike with a stuck deraileur and a early '80's roadie with downtube shifters.  The last 2 really need a new home.  That way I could get either a cross bike or a mtn bike.  Or maybe a roadie.  I am feeling the need for a new bike.

This is all in the same garage with 6 saddles (for 3 horses that never get ridden) and enough assorted horse stuff to open a riding stable.  What can I say?  We like stuff.

Rideable bikes? I've got... 6. I think.

Santa Cruz Chameleon MTB (sometimes it gets gears, other times it's a single speed. It's geared ATM)
Surly Cross Check cyclocross bike (serves as roadie and rail trail bike as well as the bike I race triathlon on)
Single speed Trek road bike
Single speed mountain bike built for comfort to haul the kid in her trailer
The Chopper (trash picked cruiser restored and a long fork added)
Little 14" frame Giant MTB built as a trials/play bike. It's on loan to a short friend to see if she likes mountain biking.

I've got two MTB frames in the basement, a BMC Superstroke and a Specialized Bighit DH frame. The BMC needs to go on ebay.

I've also got two non-rideable old Schwinn cruisers. Both are complete, but they need overhauls and new rubber at the very least.

I also have about 5 or 6 other miscellaneous frames hanging in the basement.

At the moment, there are 6 bikes in the garage.

If we had more room, we would probably have more bikes.  They are like candy!  I am currently in search of a road bike, would love to have a mountain bike (to ride with the hubs) and desperately want a cruiser.  I actually owned 3 tri bikes at one point while I was in the process of ordering a new one.  That was a bit of overkill.

XC full suspension mountain bike - Most trail rides and XTERRA racing
XC hardtail mountain bike - Back-up bike and loaner
All mountain full suspension mountain bike - Longer suspension for bigger hits and downhill riding
Ghetto singlespeed - lives at work for getting around between buildings
'50's Hawthorne w/ trike kit - Restoration project

My husband has 5, so we have 13 total. We built a bike rack for keeping most of them organized in the garage.

My wife has too many bikes, I feel like I'm just not living up in that department.

My 5 (which does not include a tri bike or even a real road bike):

Intense Spider 29 XC bike (race bike and general trail bike)
Cove Stiffee FR hardtail (built heavy, anything from XC to light DH)
Norco Shore freeride bike (7" travel, 44 lbs, mostly rides involving a shuttle or ski lift)
Jamis Nova CX bike (two sets of wheels, one with knobbies, one with road slicks; trail riding, road riding, commuting)
Brisa B26d trials bike (only for trying to hurt myself)

Looks like her Tri gets to live inside.

Part of the deal I've made with myself is when I've finished the season and saved up enough I'll get a newer roadie, and turn Charlene into a commuter.  TT bike comes the year after, if I can afford it ... and then maybe a MTB, then a hybrid for commuting, maybe a fixie .... needless to say if I had the money I'd have a garage full of bikes.

I have one a western flyer and the only reason I have it because a person that usta live in my apartment left it in the storage closet.  I plan on restoring it so I can ride it around campus.  I dont have a tri or road bike cause I cant afford one.

I have a Trek 1500 setup with Profile Jammer bars.

I also have a really old but in excellent shape Giant ATX 760 permanently setup on my Cycle Ops magnetic trainer in my office.

Of course my two girls have road bikes and my wife has a Trek 1.2.
