Hey everyone!

Melissa aka. Melindy here. Met some of you before! Hey Kim! Woooo Ghoulie buddy!

Just finished first year med school and working in research in Victoria, BC this summer. I'm aiming for some pretty heavy volume (for me anyways) this month. 35km swim, 425km bike, 115km run. I've had some nagging trouble with my gluteus medius since I did a half marathon back in May. Been working on strengthening and stretching that out. (Think 80's retro style leg abductions--yaaaaa). SO hopefully that works out and helps me get over glut medius problems.

Just did an oly tri on Sunday in the freezing cold. brrr...Have a sprint this month and training up for a HIM in Calgary on Aug 1 and doing the Nike Womens Marathon in San Fran on my 23rd b-day in October! Woohoo!

Hope everyone has a good month! Lets go team 2!

Sounds like fun. I haven't listened to any Floyd for a while.

Hello teammates!
I see lots of familiar "faces" and some new ones.  Looking forward to a lot of fun and trash talking.  My name is Bill and I'm in my 3rd year of tris.  Just had my first race of the season this past Saturday... a sprint in Sea Isle, NJ with a cold and very rough ocean swim... yucky salt water... URP!  Now looking forward to the Philly Olympic Tri on 7/27.  A-race this year is the Syracuse Ironman 70.3 in September.  We need a catchy name... June Bugs?  Ummmm, not so much.

OH... forgot to mention goals.  I will put them in the spreadsheet tonight.  I will pull them off my training plan and probably just count sessions.  Got a trainer ride in this morning and a swim at lunch.  Another double tomorrow.

Hi everyone.  My name is Duane - and I suspect my posting will be sorely lacking.  I have hit and miss internet coverage at home and at work - well, I'm pretty busy as of late.  A little about me is that I am 39 (since we are all telling - but I won't be 40 for some time) married, 4 kids.  I've never done a tri, not sure I ever will, but I hope to this fall.  I'm set for an ultra in August and did a half marathon on 5/1.  My goals for the month.....
I'm going to try 45 miles running, 45 biking, and at least 6 sessions of basketball or P90X (plyo or abripperx) with a max of 2 bball, and for my fourth, a total calorie burn for the month of 12,000 from exercise.  I hope I haven't set my sights too high.  I have a 4 day trial next week and then a seminar 2 weeks later.  I hope to have time to say hi from time to time, but if I don't, it's not personal!

Oh...I guess I should introduce myself... Im Cat, I live in Australia and I have been out of action for quite a long time due to a chronic illness I am currently dealing with...

Right now Im trying to get it in remission so I can get back to training and getting out and about...

Apart from that I live with my bf who is ridiculously supportive of me and everything Ive had going on... work in media in a typical desk type job and Im a little bit in love with pro cycling (Dee will probably call me on this being a massive understatement)

<<< Oh and in case anyone asks... the guy with me in my picture is the current World Road Race Champion Cadel Evans

Artemis - 2010-06-01 12:50 PM Hi team 2!  Nice to see some familiar faces and I'm looking forward to getting to know the people I don't know.

I'm still finalizing my goals (just switched training plans), but I should have that by the end of the day.

Any ideas for a name?
What? You don't like "Team 2?"

What? You don't like "Team 2?"

It has a certain "ring" to it...  As far as names - anything except "June Bugs" - don't know why, but that name drives me crazy...

You do realize, of course, that now I really want to name us "June Bugs." I'm like that, you know.

I even have June Bug pictures for a team table.

Just set my goals in the spreadsheet:

Swim: 20,000 meters
Bike: 100 miles
Run: 30 miles
Strength: 11 sessions

There's a chance that I'll need to increase my bike goal if I do a ride with my dad at the end of the month.  We haven't made a decision yet, so I'll change that as it gets closer.
