I didn't get on the trainer last night, but I made up for it by biking to work today.  So another Stage down (3 of 9) and about 17 miles.  The real question is whether I get to count the ride home as another stage.  I hadn't planned on any rides to work when I was figuring out my goal.

I think Cat stated in the rules that you can log anything over 15 minutes as separate stages.... as long as you log two bike workouts in your blog!

Great job commuting with the bike. I wish I would be able to do that too!

Hey Guys, I'm late getting on the thread as although I signed up to the challenge I wasn't allocated a team so Cat said I was on your team. That said I've comitted to 12 stages and I'm on stage 3 so far and have another coming up tomorrow. It's all going well so far but hoping to get more in this week. Hope you're happy to have me on board!

I don't get to bike commute very often, but I love it.  It is so exhilarating.  I would SOOOO much rather do that than get on my bike and ride for multiple hours to nowhere and then turn around and come home.

I've done 5 of 9 stages and 181 of 350 miles.  So, I'm a little over halfway complete.  As a team, we are 37.74% complete and the month is 38.10% done, so we're a little behind.  But maybe just some of the people haven't yet posted their workouts.  I was a few days behind until tonight.

Got in a nice ride on Saturday morning.  It was mostly to prove that I could toss back a few watermelon mojitos and still function the next morning.  It was one of my best rides ever

Hoping to do a metric century this weekend in honor of a friend that was hit and killed riding her bike about a month ago.  An inattentive driver ran a red light and took Marilyn's life.  Funds raised will go to cycling education and outreach in the community, which I think she would have loved.

Hope everyone has a great week, and be safe out there.

So sorry for your loss! Great response of the cycling community... Hope you'll be able to raise a lot of money and increase the awareness of "weaker" (read: no metal around me) participants on roads!

Has anyone checked to see where we are relative to the other teams?  I will do this tonight.

I am getting in a ride this afternoon (probably about 20-25 miles) and I will ride to work on Thursday (that counts as two stages - there and back at 16 miles each way) and then another long ride on Saturday (70+).  I think that will get me to my stage goal, but not yet my distance goal.  But there is still time.

Good luck everyone.  And get out there and RIDE !!!!

I got in the ride yesterday - 29.5 miles.  I haven't checked the other teams yet.  Of course, I also haven't posted this ride on the spreadsheet yet either.  Ooops.

Ride 'em and log 'em Shackers!!!

I went out early this morning.  By the time I got back around 8 AM, it was already pushing 90 degrees.  I *heart* heat.  Not.

9 of 12 stages complete and 250 of 300 goal miles done.  Getting close!

Hey team.  Hope everyone is surviving the heat.  Our heat index is 108 this afternoon...should be a fun ride  I'm doing a metric centutry in Saturday, so that should up my milage quite a bit.  Stay cool Radio Shackers!

Hi everyone -

I am so sorry I disappeared all of a sudden. My daughters came back from California both very sick with sinus infections and then promptly gave them to me!

Today is the first day I can actually breathe so we're heading out for a gentle 20-miler. I don't know if I am going to be able to make my goal, but I am going to do my darnedest!

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

Update.  I have finished 8 of 9 stages, but only 283.84 of 350 miles.  I am at 84.99% of goal.  The problem is that I am not sure when I will be able to get in the last 66.16 miles.  How long does this thing go?

WoW - this is the quietest group I have ever been with.  It's kinda nice not to have to read 4 pages of posts each time I log in.

Rode a 100k this weekend, and it was a great ride.

Doing hill repeats today, so I'll get another stage, but not many miles.
