I decided in December it was time for a change and have lost 42 pounds since Christmas.

Wow. Congratulations!

saubbie23 - 2010-07-06 9:06 PM I love the Tour, and think that team Saxxo Bank is an excellent team, I really like all of their riders.  Since I am on this team, I am going to be pulling for Andy Schleck.  Jens Voigt is an awesome rider as well.
I'm *not* on this team, but I'm cheering for Saxobank, too. Really strong team. P.S. Even though I'm not on this team, well, I tend to pop into various threads every now and then. LOL

I see that. When and is it okay to remind everybody that Saxobank is still in the Yellow Jersey?

Name: Leigh
Age: 44
Location: Portland, Oregon (with relatives in Medford)
Cycling/Tri exp: 1 +aDNF tri, a du, a number of runs, and some bike racing on the Portland International Raceway track.
Upcoming Race: A flat Sprint Du at the end of the month, and a hilly one in September.
TdF goals: 7 stages, 105 miles. Pretty short compared to the rest of you. I'm still doing short distances - I ride with my husband and between us we've been sick or hurt a lot this spring. He's just coming off a crash. I have a shoulder thing that ties up if I don't build slowly.
TdF favorite rider: Cancellara cuz he's hawt and fast... oh wait. That means I like them ALL. Kiss Mostly, I'm just anti-Contador and will cheer anyone ahead of him.

I'm Tour addicted and usually read about it during the day and then watch it in the evening.

Ride safe out there!

ckallpoints - 2010-07-07 6:16 AM Sorry for the late first post I forgot to check in yesterday and stayed away from the computer over the weekend. Thanks for the format Jason.

Name: Craig
Age: 49
Location: Central Point, OR
Cycling/Tri exp: Zero races this is my first year. I decided in December it was time for a change and have lost 42 pounds since Christmas. I bought my first bike in March a Trek 2.1 and love it.
Upcoming Race: Granite Man off rode Tri July 24
TdF goals: 10 Stages 720 minutes
TdF favorite rider: Lance and Levi but I may have to switch to Andy Schleck and Fabien Cancellara from Saxobank.

Just updated Spreadsheet

Congrats on the weight loss.  I lost about 35 pounds from Feb 09 to Oct 09.  Since then, I have felt awesome physically.  Not just during workouts...but just more energy during the day.

Keep it up.

Three of us - I lost 50# between april 06 and april 07.  Great job you guys. Hard work, but totally worth it.

Anytime you want.

The Liquigas team is looking for an excuse to stir up trouble, but there's only one problem --- the REAL team Liquigas hasn't won anything worth gloating about yet!

Great work so far team.  Let's keep it up, and hopefully Cancellara can keep yellow until the mountains, and then give up to Schleck!

saubbie23 - 2010-07-07 9:32 AM Nice to meet everyone!  CJ, where in Maryland do you live?  I am in D.C., close to Chevy Chase, MD, we should get together and ride a stage together.  I have gotten in 4 stages and almost 400 minutes thus far.  Got so pumped watching the Tour yesterday that I rode 1.5 mph faster than I normally do yesterday!  Team SaxoBank is doing great in France and on BT, we have the yellow baby!

Scott I'd be up for that.  I'll shoot you a PM.

Good morning team.

I was a bad boy and did not get my ride in yesterday

But I had to put my bike together first, and then the wife also wanted me to put hers together and then I was to tired to get out the door.

But now I am at work and had some time to be creative

Hope all the links works.

Have a great day everybody

That is really cool.  Thanks for doing that!  Anyone have any stages set for today?  I am planning on a 90 minute to 2 hr ride after work, we will see how hot it is when I get home and that will likely dictate the length of the ride.

I've got a small group ride planned after work.  Not sure where we are going.  Either riding on a military base, or doing some hill work.

I managed to get in a good ride last night and is back on track

Soon the tour will go into the mountains and that is a problem for me as I will be doing the Icelandic HIM on Sunday and will miss a lot of the stage if not all

Had a great ride yesterday until I blew out my front tire and 2 more tubes trying to fix it.

Luckily I have some backup tires I can use this weekend.

I'll be going out with my wife tomorrow morning. I'm not sure if we'll be doing the bike path 30+ miles or a shorter 14 mile loop with some hills. I want the bike path for the distance and time she wants the hills. I my compromise and do the hills as an out and back. the hilly section is miles 7-9 and I think I could stretch it to 20 miles.

Got in another stage today.  An easy 90 minute recovery ride.  Planning on a 2.5 to 3 hour ride tomorrow.  How did everyone else's Saturday work out?

Got in a grueling 75 mile solo ride.  And it was really windy.

Sunday is a 65 mile group ride with some hill repeats thrown in.  TORTURE!!!
