Just out of curiousity...has anyone told the Ghoulies team what that name means in the UK? have to google it to see, but makes me smile a little inside each time I see "I'm a Ghoulie" from one of the October challenge losing team............(I know it's goolies, but still) anyway, off to do some work so I can get a start this afternoon on the kicking of some ghoulies....... I can't find what you're talking about, but if you type in Ghoulie in a Google search, 2 BT pages are on the first page. |

Now that I see the correct spelling I see what you mean. Yes, we have them. You'll see that when we kick some BT azz this month. GO GHOULIES!!! |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT Finished my planks for the day. It seems like such a small accomplishment when you look at the time (4 min per day) but you should see me shake near the end. Standard plank pose - 30sec x 2 Side plank pose - 30sec x 2 Upward plank pose - 1min Dolphin plank pose -20sec x 3 As you can see I have a strong back (upward plank) and weak abdominals. Good think I changed to various planks from dolphin only or it would have looked more like dolphin 20sec x 6, 10sec x 12. First run is on Sunday - 5km Run for the Cure race! |

We're off to a WET start to October here... as I type I have to watch for my waterlogged ceiling tile to come crashing down on me here at work. At least it's Friday!! Friday is usually a rest day for me too but that's more to rest my legs than anything else. So I still plan on getting in my first strength/core session today. Poke a hole in the middle of the tile if it's swelling to relieve the pressure and dump the water in a bucket. We had a problem with a leaky roof at an old job and it is not fun when they break through on their own. You'd be surprised how much water they can collect before the bust. I'm doing my planks later today! The tile has now completely disintegrated... which isn't all that bad. My gargage can is catching the drips and I'm just hoping for no more complete downpours. At least my computer is still functional! I would be lost all day without internet access... We lucked out Rhoda - the rain was much heavier to the east of the Buff. But I am sure we will make up for it in a couple of months when the Lake Effect snow hits! I miss that snow... |

Great job - just think how much stronger you will be in 30 days, then 60, 90, 120 Oh I know! My core feels awsome right now. Planks are great! I used to strength train regularly but it went on the back burner when I started endurance training. I'm trying to strike a balance now, at least for the off season. |

I am a Hasher ... it's really funny to get text messages like, "Meet me at the corner of X and Y streets in front of the statue for the hash." My name is 2late2cum. There's a few of us on here ... maybe it's time for a revival post in Tri Talk or CoJ. |

You have a team this month to help you through it. 6 weeks of sitting on my wider by the minute keester is not makin me a happy camper. I do only what the PT says I can do and am *rewarded* with more pain and more keester sitting. Kinda like when I was pregnant and myOB promised he wasn't going to let me go past a certain visit without inducing me (would have been a hair early but there were issues)....then he let me go past that visit date. Thankfully, I went into labor on my own within a few days of that visit cause the reward for good behavior shouldn't be still being pregnant (as much as I wanted my kids, being pregnant was a prison sentence where I counted down at 20 weeks cause time served was starting to be greater than time remaining) |

Remember, though, your work life could still be operating on the Suck-O-Meter and THEN it would be total suckage. Right now it's just Half-A-Suckage. |
