So, What's Your Degree in and are you Doing it Now? (Page 2)

I will be graduating in May 2006 with a BS in Accounting, Management minor. Don't know what I am going to do after that. Whoever'll hire me I suppose.

Wow Tabasco, why don't you get off your butt and finish school already??  Seriously though, I'm in awe!

Started out pre-med and got a B.S. Microbiology, then decided against Med School and became an EMT.  Then "fell into" a job in International Business that after 7 yrs garnered a B.S. Business Management.  Decided Business was not my one true love, went to a fire academy which got me an A.S. Fire Science.  Became a paramedic and a firefighter.  Stopped being a firefighter, but still a paramedic with the intention of going to Physician's Assistant school next year.  Will probably end with two Master's Degrees (PA and MPH).  Talk about coming full circle huh?

Started out college with grandeur ideas armed with a Mechanical Engineering degree.  Wanted to design Formula 1 cars.

Spoke to several MEs and they said their 3-4 years out of college they moved to Detroit to design car tail lights.

The real reason I switched out of ME is that I reached my mental capacity with Calculus and didn't event WANT to attempt Diff EQ so:

Major: Business, Minor: Economics, Northwestern University

I now work for a publically traded Real Estate Investment Trust and effectuate the disposition of the firm's assets.  Everything from deciding what to sell, to negotiating the contracts/deal terms, to overseeing the closing process.

I plan to exit the corporate world in the near future to stop making other people money in real estate and do deals for myself.

BS in Psychology and Master of Physical Therapy from LSU (Geaux Tigers!)

Sorry guys, no IT band or shin splint Q&A!  Mostly work with your maw-maw's and paw-paw's!  Slower pace and far more rewarding to me to help someone like a stroke victim learn to walk or teach someone to use a prosthesis or stuff like that. Love my job!  

BS in Nursing, Flight Nurse with one of the busier air-medical flight programs in the nation.  Worked for several years in  ER's and ICU's then started flying almost 8 years ago.  Still work in the ER on occasion for play triathlon money.  Absolutely love my job and can't imagine doing anything else...well...unless it involved making money while I was skiing or hunting!

B.A in Theological Languages (I took a year of classical Latin and Hebrew and two years of Koine Greek and got a degree for it.) with minors in Theology and Sociology.  What does one do with that degree?  Head to seminary to pursue the ministry.  I got my Masters in Divinity four years later.

I was a youth pastor for seven years; now I'm a chaplain in the Army.  Yep, I still work in my field.   I hope to get the Army to pay for a Masters in Ethics in the somewhat near future as well. 

B.S. in Agronomy/Turf Management with sports fields emphasis. (not a huge golf fan). Yes, I studied grass, I know them all. I worked in my field (Georgia Tech Athletic Dept.) for exactly 3 months.

Now I have an office job at a recycling company and do anything the CEO wants and I handle incoming money (Accounts Receivable) and play on BT.

Looking at schools again, but I don't know what to get another degree or Masters in. Can you major in Triathloning?

I'm working as a lead mechanical designer for a fuel cell company, its pretty interesting work.
