Congratulations on all your hard work--it really shows! You look amazing!

Okay, I'll play ... btw, in the 'before' shot, you can see on the left that there's even more of me not in the photo.

Thank you for the photos! You make me realize that I, too, can lose the weight and become a hottie triathlete one day!

Honey, you are already a hottie triathlete.

You were already smart before you went to university. You just needed the experience, training, and knowledge to put it to the use or levels you wanted. (Even if it was just to jump through hoops, that's still a "level wanted.")

You are already a hottie triathlete. You just need to continue gaining the experience, doing the training, and acquiring the knowledge to put your body to the use or levels that you want.

I think I need to add my husband to this, because it truly is shocking. I don't know how high he topped out at his heaviest weight, but he used to wear a size 42 pant, and now wears a 28 or a 30. I'm pretty sure he's lost over 100 lbs. Myself, I think I'm in the 60-70 range. Er, well, OK, how about a group one? My husband just turned 30 this year, and he looks about 20. It's done wonders for his health overall, and his confidence. And I'm *definitely* not complaining . We keep each other going, and having a partner has made all the difference for me.

This is 4th of July 2004 (I think?)

I know you'd come a very long way, but hadn't realized your husband had made the journey with you.

The visual record is absolutely amazing.

Your hair maybe? You've grown it out a little?

Ah, yes!!  That must be it.  Whew.  Thanks for solving my mystery.

Is that it? I don't know. I think it might be the weight loss and what appears to me just a greater sense of confidence.Nope, you are right. It is just the hair. . Looking good either way.

Here is my before and after. The before photo was when I was at 250 lbs in 2009

The after photo was taken at a race in April 2011 when I was at 185 lbs

I thought for sure it was the eyebrows. They look more shapely in the second picture.

 Definitely better posture.

Before: 225lbs in Oct '09. It's actually the picture that I saw and said to myself, "I've got to do something."

185lbs in Apr '11.  Feeling better, a few more lbs to go though....I'm on the right.

Just a part of my motivation for starting triathlons was to lose my gut.  I don't typically brag on myself but I feel pretty good about the progress I've made on that part of my motivation (and the other aspects too).  Now decreasing times and increasing distances is more important but I thought I'd post this "before and after" picture of me and thought it would be cool to see other's as well.

Wow... great job.. brag all you want, you deserve it.

These are the head shots from our Varsity Football Awards Banquet

This was the picture that made me realize I needed to do something about my weight.  December 2009 @ 297 pounds.

This was our first game the following season, August 2010 @ 230 pounds.
