I have actually signed up for an event this year. Not a tri, but it is a 10K. At least now I have a goal.

Are you coming to DC to do the Marine Corp 10K?

Unfortunately not, however, that would sure be fun. Wish I could swing it!

I thought about the challenge, but since I started 3 weeks ago and have a major goal, I figured I would sit this one out. Not ready to post my stats for the world to see until I lose at least half of my goal right now. My goal is 85 pounds, and I would love to make that 95. I'm down 20 now, so I have made a great start.

Morning Ghoulies

Off to the store. Must have food. Funerals in the south require LOTS of food. Folks brought a lot already but because of the delay, I have to get more.

A friend of Jim's brought a keg of beer. Hmmmm. This is a new ritual tht I could get used to, even though I am not a big beer drinker. It sets the stage for more fun, less unhappiness.

I may need it to deal with the in-law family. Good Golly they make us all look so good!!

Melissa, that was quite the haul! Are the exchange rates about even still? I remember when hubby used to call me before he left Canada to come back home, checking to make sure I didn't need anything like an expensive camera or something before he crossed back into the states and had to pay lots more (due tothe exchange rates). That was quite a while ago, though.

So change always throws me for a loop. The Boy went back to school last week, and it has completely thrown me off my game. You'd think it would make it easier to go get my workouts in--I'm up inthe morning, the Boy is not home to need my attention. But yeah. From 5 workouts a week down to 2 last week. And nothing yet this week. Ugh. Where'd my mojo go?
