Sorry to see Owen Slater leave the show in a box.   Not sure how Nucky survives this coming war.  Seems like everybody is deserting him (except for Chalky).

Gyp Rosetti is such a dislikeable person.  Brutal.

Yay For Richard Harrell getting some pizza on  the beach

At least somone knows the names.

Yes Owen... so bummed he's dead.

And ya, glad Richard had some pizza. that girl is pretty cool. Seems like a real no nonsense type. She's good for him.

And it's odd someone like Gypsy... sometimes in those circles, the wild dog thing gets you places fast, but it usually gets you killed fast too. People start to worry if the dog is too wild and it might turn on them. Seems he is way too out of control. I don't see him having longevity.... but we will see. Sure Nucky could finally get it.... but it just seems too neat.

I would be OK if Nucky doesn't make it till the next season. He is kinda getting boring. I am more interested n seeing what happens with George, Al Capone and Gyp. To me, those guys are the story lines.

I was surprised to see Owen in the box, I did like him.

Well isn't that the usual story line... old guy gets knocked off by the hungre new guy... circle of life and all. I keep expecting Nucky to get taken out, but so for that hasn't happened. I'm sort of torn... the new guys are interesting, but I really like Buscimi as an actor. But he is sort of funny because he isn't exactly a picture of strength and vitality. and when Capone was introduced... well we all know what he did so you know he has to make something of himself at some point.

WOW!  I was able to site down and catch the last two episodes last night (holidays and IMAZ get in the way of IMPORTANT things!  )

Fantastic...  I can not WAIT for the season finally.  Also I had to wait 3 entire seasons to FINALLY see Al Capone rise in power.  I think he was introduced in the first episode of season 1, and we obviously know how big he got, but it never developed...  NOW it has arrived!

And that closing line?  Awesome.  (I have to paraphrase)  "We have been driving for 18 hours, I need a bath and some grub, then we will talk about who is going to die..."

I was a bit sad to see Slater go with little fan fair.  That was a shock...

ETA:  OH!  And the mask guy (forgot his name) laying out his guns?  Going to be SWEET!  Probably will take on the entire occupied brothel...  I truely hope he makes it out...

That was a great line. It hit me weird cause he was whining about sleep and food, but it ended good.

Richard.

Ya, not sure, seems he goes postal in the brothel. For the kid? Maybe for Nucky... that lady.. forget her name... James mother, she is a real nut case, she needs a bullet. Perhaps Richard takes the kid and raises him with girl.

It was a good ending. Nucky lives another day. Richard went postal. He's really cool. Lovely little sidebar this season on womens reproductive rights.

Now for next season... Does Chalky get his club? Nucky pulled a fast one of Rothstien... will he be arrested? Nucky killed all of Maseria's men. What will happen with them?

I watched the finale last night.  Pretty good!  And Gyp had me nervous to the last second!  I thought he lost it with that fake voice and was going to put a bullet in the one guy that "escaped"...  But no...

Maybe I was hoping for more, and not even sure what that would be, but it was still a great ending to the season.

After thinking about it, I was puzzled by the end too. He shot James in his face. And he was like a son. He shot that kid because he stole some liquor shipment. He was getting his hands dirty all over the place.

But then Gyp... he STOLE his whole operation. He didn't just "cross" him. He spit in his face and would have raped his wife if he could.... but they are  sitting in a truck down the road, and have one of his men stab him in the back, in exchange to live. It was sort of odd. Didn't seem a fitting end to such a "evil kill every one" sort of guy. I mean, they were at WAR!

I may have missed something key here. But I didn't realize that Gyp's guys killed him for Nucky. How would Nucky have gotten to them to make that deal? It was total chaos everywhere. I thought it was more like they realized the war was over, and they had no future staying loyal to this psychopath. Much the same way that the plots to assassinate Hitler often involved those who wanted Germany to win the war, and saw him as being off the deep end.

When Richard went postal in the brothel, "that guy" hid in the closet... then Nucky and his brother found him looking for Gyp.... that guy finally caught up to Gyp on the beach... so Nucky must have made a deal at the brothel to have him kill Gyp.... I guess that is one way of doing it, but still.

But I did like the guys line when he got to the beach... and that guy with the mask, what was that?

Yeah, you it was inferred.  They found his "lieutenant".  When he showed up, I figured they must have made some kind of deal for him to just walk away like that.

What I didn't understand is why the other two just stood there.  I have to figure that NO ONE liked him, so when the lieutenant knifed him, the other two were not upset and probably thought it was best anyway and didn't interfere.  Gyp was a nutso, so they didn't care.

But yeah, they could have written that Gyp was captured, had a big scene/dialogue before Nucky dispatched him.  I sort of felt he should go in rougher way than stabbed considering what he did to basically "innocent" people.  Shovel to the head, burned, beaten with tire iron...

I would hate to cross you if you don't think stabbing is a hardcore enough way to die.

finally I watched the last two episodes.     Eli and Capone drove all the way back from Chicago to  get involved in the war...Ok (Tv takes over reality to make things work)

Richard Harrell is the man...although going through a house () with a scoped rifle is not too smart.  But he is the best of the best... Him fighting with his gal's dad ( who is a Spanish Amerircan War Vet is and interesting venue)

Watch the movie Win Win to see  Gyp in a better setting.... Plus that movie has Paul Giamtiie (best actor of all time).
