Smooth is good but I'll take it as it comes.

Gets my vote for most horrific pun. Anyone else enjoy run4yrlif's meltdown from paragon of virtue to wildly inappriopriate flirting? It's like reading Kafka's "Metamorphosis" in 10 seconds.

And who else thinks TriComet was playing dumb to get someone to spill the beans? Well done.

My name is now associated with this thread. I now know shame.

jeff - what a hilarious poll!  i say au naturel by preference.  the more a dude worries about stuff like the hair in his nether regions, the less he's thinking of me!    haha.  kidding, but really, this general idea of "man-prep" or metro-ness is not my ideal man.  i prefer no excessive hair gel, no dept. store man products, no stealing of my skin creams, no understanding of what's in my medicine cabinet.  the max is shaving cream, aftershave, cologne.  tom is the best - he doesn't know the difference between eye shadow and mascara (i'm serious - i had to tell him last year).  as for the "do's": do drink beer, do watch football (and basketball), do not care that i may know more about a given team than you, do not care that i may be staring at their butts, and do understand that a healthy appreciation of an athlete's skill and oohing over how cute they are (JJ REDICK) are not mutually exclusive.

wow, i went on a tangent!  *off soapbox*

Ya know, I really wasn't trying to be punny and I don't really like/use that expression.

Then again, maybe it's my subconscious venting. Weird dreams last night.

It's funny, last night I'm lying in bed and my wife asks, "what are you thinking?". I answer, "I'm thinking that I am never going to wax my legs again." Mark that down as something that I never thought I would say lying next to a woman in bed.

As far as the manscaping in the nether regions goes, I fully agree with Possum in that if you are post-pubescent, it is wholly appropriate to look the part. Having said that, a bit of a trim never goes amiss.

Ladies, don't mistake manscaping for femininity. Its more a matter of neatness. I prefer to 'scape so that it doesn't look like I'm wearing a sweater vest. You can be a man's man without looking like Chewbacca.

Tom

PS - My wife definitely prefers the manscaping.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! I am very free on this site, I'm a pretty open person.

However, mark your calendars, hell has frozen over, pigs are flying!!!!

I draw the line here and I'm not sharing my 'scaping habits with BT.

Wow...I might keel over and die.

Well, I didn't really think they could be reached on this site. Maybe because thats a little too personal, more personal than "confessions" I guess, I don't want to share with strangers.

You know, it's weird. Someone up above asked what the obsession over body hair is, and I guess it's that body hair and triathlon sort of go hand-in-hand (what with the shaved legs on guys thing and all). But I guess the point is that what goes on under the tri suit is nobody's business.

And besides...what's wrong with leaving something to the imagination?

you're right - there's always a limit in any direction.  a trim can be a good thing.  i guess i was expressing that there can be too much 'scaping.

Oh, and for the record, I'm strictly talking about back and chest (at least in my case). TriComet, you can rest easy!

This reminds me of a hilarious story. A few guys were going to a MN Twins game and then out to a few establishments for the evening. As we're driving to the game, one guy pipes up and says totally out of the blue, "I shaved my balls today". Not only did we piss our pants laughing at him, we also told just about everyone we passed that he'd shaved his balls. The range of reactions was absolutely amazing. There were some women who, I swear, wanted to take advantage of him there and then simply because of that. Some guys, too. I don't think I've ever laughed so much for so long in my life.

Jim, its quite common actually. Maybe if you moved back to the city you would be up to date on the metrosexual maintenance habits. Watch more Bravo.

We never got that far, nor did we even want to consider going there. We were laughing too damn hard to even think about how or why.
