Ok...we dug deep and found it and fixed it (fingers crossed)...here is some documentation...
LET ME KNOW IF SOMETHING IS STILL AMISS
"I had to dig deep. I ended up tracing each users paths through the log files down to the millisecond and then trying to puzzle out what happened and where.. But yes I am fairly sure that I found what was happening. Very small window of error there. Also explains why it was happening only with friends and not to just random strangers...Here's what I think was happening:
Friend #1 views Friend #2's blog.
Friend #2 updates their own blog within the 5 minute cache timeout. This window could be less than five minutes since you don't know for certain when the global timeout occurs. Say an average of a 2.5 minute window. This update instead affects friend #1's blog
This probably just surfaced yesterday evening while I was fixing the cache and probably wasn't apparent until this afternoon when everyone was online together. If person #2 was online before person #1 looked at their log (within that window) then nothing would have happened. So I would guess it would be very limited in scope."
My log from yesterday (10/11) is back to being denise2003's entry again. It had been her info, then I fixed it to include my own info, and now it's back to denise2003's info again. Weird. I left it this time rather than fixing it.
I read all of your updated from yesterday so I'm not sure that this really adds any new info, but I left it nonetheless. Please let me know if I can go back in and fix it.
You can get rid of that entry as that happened (and I happened to see it) yesterday before we fixed it and after you logged off. (At least I'm pretty sure)
