Ok, here's the final West Coast team:  Rocky Mountain Runner's High!

  • PirateGirl = 8 hrs
  • jcjsc00 = 8 hrs 10 min
  • pigpen35 = 8 hrs 42 minutes
  • harmony = 4 hrs
  • betyoursilver = 35 miles
  • mikosuave = 8 hrs
  • Gwozdzilla = 10 hrs
  • dorkboy = 6 hrs 30 min
  • swgtri = 6 hrs 30 min
  • orridge = 6 hrs 30 min
  • madcow = 12 hrs 30 min
  • jryals = 11 hrs 30 min
  • steve.kenoyer = 20 miles
  • zagagirl = 4 hrs
  • AKtri = 52 miles
  • ChrisM = 50 miles
  • boots = 8 hrs
  • This is the final team, so if you missed sign-ups, please consider joining in on a future challenge.  I'm sure we'll have many more BT challenges this year.

For the folks new to the BT challenges, here's how it works.  Do your run workouts (yes, walking counts!) and log them in your BT log.  If it's not in your log, I can't report it to the challenge captain, and it doesn't count.  On Monday morning of each week I will check in on your log and record your miles/run time and will turn in the team results to the challenge captian.  He'll then probably post team standings for the week.

That's it!  Pretty simple.  Feel free to check in on your fellow team members, use the "inspire me" feature in their logs to give encouragement, and also this thread to keep us all posted on how the running is going this month.  Please do not disappear off the face of the earth for several weeks without posting something here or in your log like "I'm on vacation", "Something's come up and I'm away", etc.  We're in this challenge together and can't have any team members falling through the cracks!

Good luck in this challenge team!  Let the running begin!

I have been vascillating between the 5K and 10K this weekend, it'll be my firts 10K distance.  I was going to do the 5K, since it's a year from my first ever 5K and I wanted to see the change in time, in honor of the West Coast team I have decided to do the 10K!

And FWIW, I say we give Krisy a family waiver and let her in on the challenge

The West is truly the best (as will be proven this Sunday!)! I just registered for an 8.15 mile race on 2/20.. it will be my longest distance ever! (to date 6 miles is my max) - so if nothing else it will take up a large amount of my time pledge!

Tomorrow I have paddling practice which will likely entail a wee bit o' beach runnin' (feel the burn..ugh) and then Sunday I'm going to do my own private 5k to get my pre-game jitters out! (and to justify the copious amounts of highly fattning and unhealthy food I plan on consuming during the Big Game!)

    Have a great weekend West-Coasters!

Ok, I'll let this slip just this once.    MsP, what is your goal?

But seriously, for any others out there the door's gotta be shut on sign-ups or else I have stragglers wanting in on the team throughout the entire month after the challenge has started.  I've had this happen in the past and it makes it tough to track.  There will be other BT challenges in the future...just be sure to sign up before the challenge starts.

And now back to your regularly scheduled run workout.
