We get a lb. a week of coffee and then while we are at work we have like, 5 kitchens on each floor with all the equipment to make our own drinks (we get barista training)

Hi Manatees, I'm officially marking my return to the real world with a post in our new FOURTH thread!

Lake Placid was wonderful as always.  I truly love visiting and training in the area, which is rich in outdoor adventures and sporting opportunities.  Over my week I did stand-up paddle boarding, mountain biked, road biked (on part of the course), swam (one lap of the course), mini-golfed and spectated IMLP (yes, that should be counted as a sport the way we do it!) Oh yeah, and hit Ben & Jerry's 3x.   The only thing I didn't get to do, which interestingly enough was the thing I thought I would be doing most, was trail run on my trail that I so enjoy.  The air temps were easily 20 degrees cooler during the day than they were at home (nice for training), and even moreso at night which made for great sleeping.  If any of you ever get the opportunity to go, please go!!  I doubt you will regret it.

I kind of skimmed the most recent of the pages to get a little caught up on manatee happenings.  Chris, I wish you strength and patience to get through your rough time.  Your wonderful attitude and outlook will surely help you persevere.

That beer keg bike, aka Salty's bike, reminds me of the Flintstone's car and appears to be powered by the same means.  Classic!

And I am kind of racing this weekend: a 5K run, not a tri.  It's not in my race log but rather in my blog log, ha!  Didn't feel like creating a race for it.  It's my kind of race: a late day race!  It starts at 6 pm on Sat.

Super big good luck wishes to Kirk, Janyne and Kirsten!  GO MANATEES!!!  Can't wait to read the race reports!

Our boss that is resigning is notorious for her...dark clothing. Also, her office is painted black. So we get this e-mail yesterday that says, "Just for fun, we will all dress like Dawn. That is… black clothes with a scarf, hair pulled back, wearing prayer beads. Grays or browns would also work if black is not your color. The scarf can be anything."

So, yeah, minus the prayer beads that is what I am wearing. It's ridiculous. 

Ouch!  And who paints their office black?

I know! I either look like I'm in an emo-punk band or that I am going to a funeral. If my nails were painted black it'd be ON.

Yeah, her office is REALLY intimidating.

Yeah, she is. Haha, hopefully soon. The funny thing is, everyone (including myself) likes her a lot. She is pretty amazing and it's sad to see her go. The dark thing actually, kind of works. I might even go as far as saying it's a little sexy? Bah. I can't believe I said that.
